Speading a bunch of illegitimate kids around. Sure there is protection in modern days but still many dont use it and there is a direct correlation between kids born in single parent/non nuclear homes and criminals. mehh did Jesus really say that?? marriage didn't exist before and I don't remember that jesus married any1 back in his time.. so wutever it's just the humans after jesus came when they built up the "catholic church" and added rules that Jesus never spoke about! like the reason why priests can't get married?!?! Marriage dates back a long way in the bible... Sexual purity of those who devote themselves to god also comes from pretty far back. The earlier books (Torah) are pretty clear on a great deal of rules for society. Because for thousands of years civilization was formed around "family". If a girl got knocked up 50 years ago, there was a "shotgun wedding" Sex before marriage was frowned upon to help alleviate the problem.
