being a idiot, your argument is your opinion, my opinion is you can go **** your self.
So you made solid gains... but had to stop for months due to it.... I am having a hard time following your logic here on how thats very successful? It's pretty common for lifters to try to stay healthy during lifting so they can make consistent gains... But if you prefer to run yourself into the ground by all means go for it
and notice, my training has constantly evolved since then so that i didnt run my joints into the ground. to the point that i dont consider my training "very hard" because of the fact, that i dont "run my self into the ground" anymore.
I never said you didn't know anything about gaining strength, its pretty apparent you do. It's also pretty apparent you don't care much about your health if your willing to risk injury to gain strength, pretty dumb in my opinion.
am i supposed to be ashamed of that?
Powerlifters are based off of 3 lifts... Newbtime is a powerlifter...
nooo, really? well maybe the fact that i havent been squating other than off a box, and havent deadlifted at all, should have tipped you off to the fact that my goal is not soley powerlifting.
compare me to someone like me, newbtime is a lift specialist whos older, whos been much more consistent due to me getting nagging pains, who barley beats me in 2 lifts while i have only been back training them (not training the lifts directly even) for 2.5 months.
you can say, you shouldnt have gotten nagging pains, you should have trained around them, you should have blah blah blah. doesnt matter.
because even in the worst situation, im natural, and a year younger than he is, and within pissing distance of the lifts that he specializes in.
The entire point was your injury was self induced, and you knew it but decided to keep pressing on to strengthen your muscles but beat the **** out of your tendons... you are only as strong as your weakest link. You knew full well what you were doing then decide to use it as an excuse? Smart
i was fine with taking months off legs after hitting 700, and i still am fine with having done it.
and whether you think it was smart to train as hard and often as i did, has no effect on the fact that what i did made it so i had to take months off to fully recover from it. and that when i didnt allow my self to recover enough, that it would come right back. WHICH IS THE REASON MY TRAINING HASNT BEEN AS HARD AS ID LIKE.
And you are right... I will never get anywhere near your level because I will never get to 370lbs... Because unlike you I care about my health. Also a 370 physique isn't really a goal of mine either
go talk about health to someone else, if health was my goal, i wouldnt be lifting like i am.
Haha, thanks. But I am not nearly as strong as BS. He is a freak. And I'm not arguing that he's not a freak... He's a smart kid, who gets into trouble running his mouth off and says dumb ****. Yes it works with 99% of people because who's gonna tell a 370 kid that he's wrong?
and save your back handed posts for someone who wants them, you come in here trying to take away from me, tellin me im wrong, tell me what i did was stupid, and then at the end of your second post tell me im running my mouth saying stupid ****, but im a "smart kid", get ****ed.

lol, such a pathetic liar. you constantly spout lies yet you expect people to believe you when you say your natural.
repeat, i wanted to fight u, you wouldnt.
you knew i was in a different state, so you claimed you wanted to fight me.
you thought i took it seriously, and complained because I made a joke about training mma.
coward at its peak.
again, your whole reason for complaining about fighting you, was because you were woried that id actually take you up on your cowardly offer, and come fight you, the offer to fight that you gave me because you knew i was in a different state.
not sure how many other ways i can put this, it makes you a coward. a mouse of a man.
and i have never been woried about making "enemys". any person who becomes my "ememy" from reading what i have to say, has just fallen trap to my **** filter, as i wouldnt want anything to do with the person to begin with, if i knew how they were.
for instance, trettin, i have been talking too for a few weeks on chatzy. he pops up in my thread telling me my body isnt impresive, because im fat. that the way i trained was stupid. that i run my mouth saying stupid ****, etc.
and he does that without being man enough to come right out in the first place, and say his piece. he has to refer to it as adding fuel to the fire, as if that would some how make it like he wasnt saying it, he was just being objective.
tretin isnt the person i want on my side, you have actually done me a favor by giving him the courage he needed to come and say **** to me, so that i could label him.
and other than tretin, my only "enemy made" from this whole discussion, is someone who i inuslted for a stupid post, in the origional call out thread you made.
im not a politician, im not here to get everyone to like me. and if i was here to make friends, you can bet your ass i wouldnt choose people like tretin, or the other guy who got angry when i called him a idiot in the other thread.

I think its pretty ****ing lame for people to come into George's thread and start **** with him whether they meant to or not. This is HIS thread for him to reflect on HIS training and get constructive criticism. If you have a problem you should settle it elsewhere.
Remember this constant heckling of people inside their own logs is what hickson got banned for.

lol, why?
afraid that il train harder because i got some dumbass trying to tell me my training doesnt work?
i dont give a **** that you post in my thread, or lie, or call me out to fight when im in a different state, and then cry when you think i take it seriously.
i like those things, it reminds me that your a lesser person than i am.

Do you really get much of a carryover from a box to a raw squat. I've never been able to use them effectively in my training, or is it more a way to just get yourself squatting without placing as much stress on the knees?

it is, definitley is lame.
but what else can be expected from someone who made a thread crying for pages because someone told them in pm that they knew they werent natural.
the kid asked me to fly to florida to come fight him, and when he thought i took it seriously, he got scared and tried to play it off as me being imature.
all he has been able to do in this thread, is lie, and prove hes a immature coward.

yeah, i mean its not going to be perfect carry over.
but when you consider i havent normal squated at all, in 2.5 months, box squating has definitley improved my squat.
just the aspect of getting to parallel, and standing back up, with really heavy weight, is beneficial to squating.
of course box squating wont help quad strength, so its also important to do some sort of medium stance deep quad exercises, but yeah box squats help allot.

I hear ya on the tendonitis dude, it really blows when you can't even sit in a damn car for more than 15 minutes without feeling like someone's sticking a needle into your kneecap. Box squatting and time off is all good, kinda ****ty that you gotta get called out to squat basically a WR record amount in a few months or you're "****."

yeah man the tendonitis sucks balls, the harder you train, the worse it gets. you have to balance hard work, with not doing too much weight or volume, and not doing it too often.
you end up not doing enough volume, often not being able to go heavy enough, not often enough, and you get poor gains. thats if you can make gains at all with the pain there.
and yeah, natural 18 year old, given 3 months of training to break a unatural 19 year olds squat record, or else i suck. a record that is WAY above any other 19 yearolds raw squat.
talk about being held to a high standard.

Respect to both of you because you are both strong as hell, but u should end this. I'm sure u remember fuzzy, he ended his account so as not to be distracted and he could focus on his lifting. All of this fighting isn't making you bigger or stronger, and it shouldn't really matter who started it or said what or whatever... You don't have to make up, just remember what matters, cause either one of you might be able to smash records some day.
actually, and you may find this funny.
fuzzy left bodybuilding.com, because i called him out on being a liar.
when he was 14 years old, he claimed to bench 315, deadlift 550, and squat 440x2, all blatent lies. and he told me this over hotmail messenger...
turned out, that he lied about his lifts, and would go around to sites, claiming fake lifts, to get attention.
if you go to his account on wanabebig, he lied about his lifts, lied about his height, lied about what he ate, etc. and he lied about those things for years.
fuzzy, is honestly a liar, who lies for attention. and in his 550 deadlift and heavy squat videos, which he took down shortly after showing them, people actually counted the olympic colored plates to be different numbers than he actually claimed

yeah agree all this flaming is stupid especially from two of the strongest teens in the world. All starting from stupid argument about bs claiming newbtime used some gear which had decent reason for even though pretty much 100% sure he is natural-imo, no hardcore evidence to suggest otherwise-. Even though newbtime did overreact.
Think should just get back on track and this challenge is stupid honestly why risk injury pushing your already sore knees to make a point?
I think the biggest point you can make that your training style works is to set a record at 19 or get very close in a meet. Then there be no excuses.

the offer still stands. (770 squat=100$) just keep in mind if you do pull off a miracile and squat like 850, there is no way in hell I will be able to pay you 350$ overall. If you do manage to hit over 800 (doubtful) ill toss in more money, but i will pretty much be broke in 3 months time for various reasons.

i mine aswell accept the challenge, i can drastically improve my squat by doing things that dont bother my knees (romanians, goodmornings, abbs etc)
so theres really no reason not to accept the challenge, i dont plan on getting inujured, or traning until i have to take months off to recover. if it gets to that point, i just simply wont be able to get to 770.
i really doubt il hit over 800, i dont think the plates i have will allow me to put on 800 and still fit the clips on.
il see how the form feels next workout, after some box squats and maybe goodmornings. as you know, without the box i have to bring my stance in, and use more knee drift, which is harder on my patella tendons.. thats really the only reason i prefer not to train it.
i can see my self getting up to 770 off a parallel box in a belt, in the next few months, that would make normal squating it with knee wraps, muchless intimidating.

well before allot of my training came from deadlift stance low box squats, leg press, and regular squats, sometimes hack squats and leg extensions, all of which are hard on my tendons. and id do that **** pretty often.
now i focus more on posterior chain stuff, as that stuff doesnt effect my patella tendons.
i also take more time off.

lol, thats not what i mean. even if i were strong enough to squat 800, i wouldnt be able to fit it i dont think.
i really dont know how long it would take to go from a box squat, to a normal one. its a matter of bringing my quads up to speed with my posterior chain strength.
but box squating is definitley easier than normal squating, when the box is at parallel with a wide stance.
i guess well just have to see... my goal would be to do 770 off a box in a belt, then put a few nrmal squat workouts in, and try and get 770 in knee wraps without the box. but who knows if thatl work.
