Btw scarb I think there's something to be said for building a dead lift base that it'll never truly go away. Kind of like how some old lifters in their 40s and 50s who have been retired for 15+ years can power snatch like 100kg.
Once you program your body, there will always be remnants of that strength.Snatch: 122

Question Here.
What percentage of the full lifts can you guys hit from the hip, hang, and knee compared to the full lifts?
When I say hip snatch and clean I mean when you are standing statically in the power position then exploding and going under.
I am doing the LSUS intermediate program, and have just finished the weeks of tens.
Those weeks included hip snatches and hip cleans with a % of your max in that exercise.
I set it up as percentages of my max full clean and snatch, which I am thinking was incorrect but I managed to hit all my lifts every week for the most part.
I ended the week of tens with the heaviest weights which are:
180 Hip Clean 6 X 5
135 Hip Snatch 6 X 5
My max full clean and snatch are 225 and 175.
I am just wondering what percentages are your max hip, knee, and hang snatch and clean compared to the full lifts.Pigs get feed. Hogs get slaughtered.
Gym-Meet-(Gym 12-31-13)
Snatch: 205-155-210
Clean: 235-235-260
C&J: 215-205-235
Press: 175
BS: 340
FS: 325

Starting week 4 of the 9 week Kara's 9 Weeks of Heaven program Catalyst Athletics today. Snatch has never felt better. Snatched 90 kg and clean and jerked 120 on Saturday.
Also this cycle has hands down the hardest barbell complexes I've ever done. Once a week the following or similar:
3 power snatch + 3 snatch grip push press + 3 overhead squats at 70%
3 power clean + 3 front squat + 3 jerk at 70%
I encourage you all to give that a try sometime if you want to kill yourself.

only squatting twice a week( bs mon, fs thurs) feels bad man. My legs actually get sore now and it sucks. Just gunna make the best of it, not anything I can do to change it, and hey it might work out .
