sweeping the bar is basically dragging the bar against your quads using your lats while retracting your shoulders.

i just did a lot of slow motion bar sweeps everyday (50x and up), and i also focus on pulling my elbows up

Mirin that speed under the bar...

If you watch in slow motion you might notice you cut your 2nd pull real short to dive under the bar. If you kept tight and pulled through to triple extension you wouldn't need to get that low (or ultimately you'd be able to hit a bigger pr)

I do think its interesting that pretty much all nations stress extension as one of the most important factors to every lift. different nations just do it very differently, the chinese have very little knee rebend in their pulls, compared to someone like ilya who gets his knees back under crazy fast. from what I heard the russians talk about, and Reidy correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like the place alot of emphasis on a very vertical finish with alot of arm use

I was beat up as **** from Smoloving yesterday. Not used to high volume squats. So I didn't expect much today. I felt weak, tired and slow. So this was very surprising and felt ****ing heavy.



Also, with a 95 snatch beforehand (not a PR) I got a 215 total which means I passed a basic milestone of having my total exceed the current snatch WR.
