Getting through Smolov without too much trouble, except that during the heavy sets across in the back squat I have a lot of pain in the shoulders all the way down to the triceps and forearms. It starts during the squattin, debilitating pain persists about 20-30 minutes post-squatting but low levels of pain in the shoulders persist much longer, though it is getting better. It's so bad that I can't fill a water bottle between squat sets without my hands shaking like crazy. This has never happened before, at least not this badly, although I've never done this much heavy volume per day before. Smolov is hard enough without this additional obstacle which makes it very hard to convince yourself to get under the bar and squat. Grip width doesn't matter. It persists with either wide or narrow grip. How do I make the pain go away? Because it is really annoying. Also this

Excuse any bro science while I try to make sense to you guys who actually know how the body works.
pretty sure I have a shoulder muscle imbalance, which caused me a bit of discomfort in training today in my deltoids.
I think this imbalance was exposed today during snatching because my traps were fatigued from heavy pressing work yesterday, causing my shoulders to have to do more work.
This makes sense right?
If one muscle group is tired, than others will have to work harder.
I only felt the pain in the top/back of my shoulder, so Lateral and Posterior delts.
Now one of the guys I trained with explained to me that theres actually a bunch of components that are involved in overhead strength and health namely; side pectoral, traps, lats, biceps and all 3 parts of the delts, and their are some exercise I can do to improve overall shoulder ability.
Sorry for the wall of nonsense. I'm sure when im not fatigued I wont have such a problem, but it would be nice to work on strengthening my upper body muscles.
Any input on some basic exercises to do that are good for warm ups or to do outside of the gym.
inb4 tl;dr

so I signed up early because I wanted to check it out and get used to the interface and also check out the vids/articles they posted before I start (will start next month)
do you know is there anyway to quickly view the programs as a whole or can you only view them day by day in the workout section?
either way it looks pretty sweet, I'm Gregory Beres on their, follow me bro

apparently the calstrength service is only for the US?? That sucks, I was looking forward to it
In other news, it turns out my hips are severely impinged which is what limits my bottom position (internal rotation lacking) and I'll need to get surgery for it, just doing powers right now and theyve matched my full lifts :|. Also I finally got an offer for optometry so can focus more on lifting this year, thank god.

^^^^^^^
that sucks about the impingement needing surgery, just how much does it limit your positions?
110 thruster, just 33kgs more to go
