    On the bar talk, I lift on a ZKC bar, very worth the money if you can get one. I heard someone in the States is carrying them , but not sure who. I also like the DHS bar and Pendlay bearing bar. I would prefer the DHS over Pendlay only because you get center knurling. I've also been hearing good things from a new bearing bar on the market, Vulcan (or Vulkan) that makes a solid bearing Olympic bar.

    I'm trying to internally rotate my rear foot on the split, but is it really that important?

    YES! You're obviously strong enough to handle the weights youre using right now, but the stability proper footwork gives you is essential to hitting heavy ass jerks. unless you're ian wilson

    My pair is great. It's a perfect fit for my feet.

    I do not have a coach. I took a half semester weightlifting class at my university last semester and actually, it's how I got into weightlifting.

    I lift at my uni gym.

    Lol yeah, got rid of my in person coach and I'm improving in technique. Starting with hips lower and staying over longer. Landing on my heels and catching a bounce. Love it.

    I have been self coaching myself for 6 months now and can't lift no where nearly as much as you can. How did you coach yourself?

    lol there are few supervisors who wouldn't allow us to drop the weight from overhead position, but rather in a "controlled fashion," where we lower the bar down to front rack, then drop the weight.

    any squat-jerk advice ftw? I have a habit of missing jerks from not being able to stand like that, despite being totally in control in bottom. I'm thinking just practice Clean-Grip OHS more?

    thanks. I was beating myself up the whole way home for missing 105. it was too easy

    widening the grip helped and doing a lot of btn work helped me get the final bar position down. how do you miss them?
