For those of you who coach lifters, what kind of prices do you charge? Do you vary prices for different services (coaching, programming, etc...)?
We started up a barbell club at our crossfit gym. It currently costs existing members $59/month (on top of their crossfit membership) for 3 90-minute oly sessions/week. These sessions have 5-10 people each. I would love to get some of our members to switch to full-time oly but they're too rooted in their crossfit ways. I was supposed to get a girl to join who was a powerlifter (really strong) unfortunately she injured her hip a week before she was going to join.
In other news my quad has pretty much fully recovered... unfortunately I couldnt back squat this morning because my sun burn is extremely painful, or I'm just a girl... either way

Has anyone ever tried a routine, saw that it didn't work, and then went back to what you were doing before?
I had a little two month experiment that I found out wasn't addressing the issues I was looking to fix and instead I got weaker at some other things.
Background: (this routine change was only for the clean/jerk and front squat, everything else, including snatching was the same)
Used to do clean and jerk once a week and the clean and the jerk separately on two other days. Front squats were done at the end of the clean workout with a pause on the last rep and pyramiding the weight. I'd be hitting 93-97% of my best front squat once a week, every week.
My best clean was 93% of my best front squat (which I think is quite efficient) however my jerk was 10kg behind my best clean. I thought that I need to do more of the full clean and jerk.
As such I turned my clean day into a complex where I'd do two cleans followed by a jerk. On top of that I also tried doing front squats at the very start but without the pause. Obviously the result was that I had to drop the weight on the clean that day. I didn't push into the higher percentages with front squats and clean/jerks and was doing more work at more moderate weights.
After doing this for a while I felt that front squats and cleans got harder for me (since I wasn't going as heavy as I was before in either). Jerks were a bit more solid, however when I thought about it, I wasn't really missing them that much anyway when I was cleaning heavier weights.
As such I decided to go back to what I was doing before as it was getting me better results. I feel like I did some real life sports science experimentation, saw what worked and what didn't and adjusted accordingly.Strength + Speed = Power
If you never fail, you aren't truly pushing yourself to the limit. If you never push yourself to the limit, how do you know what you're truly capable of?

my best is 160 i think or right below. w/e 360lbs is. i almost hit a 140 cnj a couple of week ago on two separate occasions but missed the jerk. i should be able to get it soon. I am training full time again. so getting back in shape is my priority atm. i am usually too tired to max out. once i get back in shape i am going to try and max out a little more often

gjdm, on of the things i like to dofor getting under is 3rd pull only snatches and cleans start at the hips and with a little pull you just fly under that bar. love it for sets of 10
if he is thats great, but i can promise he is not under 94, and i have not even watched the vids. unless he is an 85 w/ 160 kg snatch i really dont care. American lifters are just too fat most of the time

thanks and yeah I added in some high hang work to help with my speed. He's definitely not 94 or under, I only started watching his vids recently because I need more time to kill at work.
In other news, has anyone else read The White Prisoner? - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KMFP2VK/...8080_TE_M1T1DP
I finished it today and it was pretty interesting read, almost makes it seem like the athletes have no idea what they are taking ("vitamins") or maybe he wrote it that way intentionally
