Okay. The next step is to use the loaded bar to pull your body down under the bar. This takes a lot of work for some people, as it does not necessarily come naturally. Think of it as forcing yourself to sit under the bar. Drop your hips straight down as you turn the bar over.

no way to do that. it is tailored for each person and each week has a different percentage of reps and each day has a specific percentage of that percentage and each day has a specific percentage of reps in a specific percentage of your one rep max
srs
so like in week one 27% and monday has 17% of the 27% and then each lift is broken down with a distribution of reps toward the specific reps of an exorcise which differs based on a lifters needs

12-11-2014, 10:08 AM #17350One thing that was also mentioned in the seminar was about the weight distribution in the foot during the first pull. They taught the participants that 60% or so was on the front of the foot and did not emphasize all the weight being on the back. If i remember correctly, that was done in order to ensure maximal quad and overall leg drive on the extension.

Story time:
Normally train at a warehouse gym cos they have 5 oly platforms, bumpers etc...one day decided to join my gf at her new fancy commercial gym. This gym has about 4-5 squat racks and an area with chitty bumper plates, not too bad for a commercial chain.
Did some light CJ's, switched to FSQ heavy singles and some roidhead comes up and goes, "How many sets you got?" I'm like couple more. He then bertstares me and goes "well you've been here for awhile now", bertstare him back and said yeah, I'm doing heavy singles. After couple secs more bertstaring each other he walks off. I look around and there's 3 other free squat racks...I don't even.
Next up, a "trainer" saw my Adipowers and announced "Look we have a lifter here!!1111", proceeds to tell me he's a Level 1 powerlifting and Oly lifting instructor, okay.jpg. I then ask him whether we can drop the weights (bumper plates) after a heavy CJ/SN...he said no. I'm like well okay guess I'll go bit lighter and lower the weight. Mr Level 1 oly lifter then claims that I should learn to lower the weights and said he snatched his PB then proceeded to lower it to the ground...

I feel stupid now, I was wondering why my bench never went up, but now that I bench more I see it's number just shooting up. I always thought of more as in frequency, but volume is king. just exhausting the muscles

So I finally made it to a real gym down in Atlanta, Coffee's Gym. Anyways, this was my 3rd time doing full snatches in 2 years. Hit a new lifetime PR of 93kgs! I don't even know....
Squat: 135 lbs
Bench: 225 lbs
Deadlift: 185 lbs
Stop quoting my stats. I know what I'm doing if I can deadlift 1.5 plates.

nice snatch mang. i cant wait to get back to some heavier weights
just built this earlier today
this is me explaining (from what i now suspect was a cave 400 feet underground from how i sound) how i built my platform if you can hear me.
it was pretty easy. the hardest part was cutting the rubber stall mats which was fairly easy. I recommend using a pvc pipe saw. I have seen people recommend scouring the mats but that takes for-friggen-ever. I cut it with the pvc pipe in about 2-3 minutes
it is pretty solid and from how it handled 40kg dropping on it i can tell it will handle pretty much whatever. DIY home gym people if you have no already made it, why not? it is that easy.
total cost was almost exactly 200$

Are most of you lifting out of your homes? I'm doing my oly lifting at a CrossFit gym but it's frustrating trying to work around the crossfitters and also dealing with the monthly fees.
On another note, I'm 3 weeks into this program, loving it so far. Made a snatch PR jump from 95kg to 100kg a few days ago too, I was pretty stoked with that. I've still got a long way to go before I'm hitting anything respectable though.
