Yeah, I find that the constant heavy squatting and pulling (albeit with lighter weights) of Olympic weightlifting really do help the deadlift. My max was about 200kg when I started doing more heavy snatch grip pulls and lots of back squats (I find they have more carry over to the dead than front squats) and my pull went up to 235 kg. Also did a 210kg snatch grip deadlift today though I can't say I trained too much for it.
    Strength + Speed = Power

we are not sure but it might be tendinitis plus severe scar tissue build up, and heavy eccetric loading and the stretch reflex give me issues. however it is much more complicated than this. it is getting better everyday, but very very slowly. i might take a while till i am 100%

i've done a jr for ohp and it was a cake walk

It can be pretty important, especially with the weights you're attempting. The spin of the sleeves will greatly improve the turn over of the bar when you rack it. Hook grip is much more important. You need to start using it ASAP as it takes a while to get your thumbs accustomed to the pressure, usually 1-3 weeks. Start with your warm-up weight and keep going. It also sounds like you need to practice at lighter weight so you can release the hook during the rack/catch phase!!

Makes a huge difference. Even 10+kg.

I guess it makes a bigger difference going from eleiko to a thick, non-spinning commercial gym bar than vice-versa, and more efficient technique would probably give a greater disparity between the 2, as a weightlifting bar is pretty much designed to facilitate good technique (i.e. let you lift more if you have good tempo, speed etc.)

My ATG squat is very limited because I have problems getting out of the hole, anything I should look forward to?, I can only ATG squat like 135 (bar + 2 45lb plates) pounds 3x5 or so, don't know how so many people can squat 200s ATG.

When you're first starting out higher weight always seems impossible. You'll look back in a year and 175 - 200 will be easy warm up weight.

Javascript is cool and fun (mostly).

my latest discovery in the world of assistance lifts is rows with a plate on the glute ham bench. Scapular feels.
