i was fine thanks haha. i've never had to bail from jerks or snatches that go behind, so i didn't know how to go forward and compensated by just throwing myself backwards as fast as possible, making for a very dramatic ending :P

So I was snatching with a girl in my gym yesterday and I discovered that when she is snatching after the explosive pull her feet come off the ground but they land like 3 inches back from where they were... this results in her body sitting ~3" back from where she started so the bar ends up out in front of her body.

Has anyone seen this problem before? Any particular ways to go about fixing this other than drilling the footwork? I can try to get a video if that will help

that would make sense, I think she took a video of herself, I'll try to get her to send it to me

edit: she sent me a video but its literally the worst angle because the plate on the side is block the important parts of her body but I can see her driving off her toes. So I'll work on queing her to stay back and throw in some slow snatch grip deads to nail that feeling of being on her heels into her. In regards to "clapping dem cheeks" - any girl with a good looking snatch goes up a couple points in my book

my hand is falling apart (right) and i am working under heavily fatigued state in 90+ degree environment with poor ventilation.

maybe i need to cut myself some slack?

I know these feels. Clean and jerk and front squats are the worst. Either you have to wear a shirt so the bar doesn't slip off in the sweat (which also makes it even hotter, no pun intended), or apply chalk thousands of times on your front as it keeps washing away. Ugh.

fortunately, i dont have that issue. i am sweaty, but i usually catch it pretty well. I DO however have those feels on power cleans.
