tfw not naturally mobile, reverse Chinese anatomy and had to work very, very hard at mobility to be able to achieve good bottom positions in the classic lifts and squats, and also tends to get injured when overdoing it in the back squat. Ah well, at least I finally have achieved good bottom positions and am anatomically suited to pulling lots of weight off the floor.

Them feels. My femurs aren't longer than most people I know but from a weightlifting perspective they are long. Wish my torso would grow a bit more lol
I haven't pulled in ages anyway, just squats. I can finally front squat with upright torso and straight back so hopefully it's like that when I start doing c&j and snatch in a while

Been pretty good man. Started my undergrad research with my professor this summer. He threw a little shin-dig tonight with a few other professors and all the new undergrad/grad/finishing undergrad students. It was really cool, not to mention the fact that he brews his own beer and everyone got wasted in the process of tasting them all hahaha. Unfortunately my training has suffered hardcore, but I'm not out 100%. Im currently trying to set up the CSUN oly club, and the poverty gym will eventually get set up this year... things are moving, slowly, but still moving

Hey ftwrestler, you use squat jerks as your primary jerk, correct?
I was trying out my push jerk today, and got a crisp 240lb PR, and at my 250lb attempt it ended in a squat jerk, but I could not stand up. I actually never squat jerked before today, yet was just 5lbs away from my split max, so I think I want to work on this squat jerk. Is there anything I can do to work on standing up from the bottom? I had it solid in the hole, but just didn't know how to stand.
