the bar did not stay behind your head

it came forward and tipped you forward and that was the end of it. You didnt have a chance even from the top.

Hmm ok. I have another 120 fail I didn't post. I was in the right position but just let loose in the bottom and fell on my ass I think I'm gonna give it a shot though, power/squat jerking. Something feels "right" about it and easier to get in the right position.

Attached pic is my bottom position w 90. Held it there for like 5 seconds.

so your knees don't even need to go past your toes to be completely upright in a squat jerk.. god damnit

Scha, a couple things about your jerk

1. It looks like you're lacking a slight bit of flexibility in your wrists. Your elbows look very close to the right position to me, but the angle of your wrist does not. This could also be due to the fact that perhaps your biceps are too swole?

2. On the first and third video I think your dip in the jerk is a bit too soft. The first one is a bit too deep causing you to slow down to change direction, and it makes your knees collapse slightly. I really like using jerk drives to fix this. Really heavy!

3. On the third jerk you recover quickly from the catch. I think it's because you shoot your knees too forward on the catch instead of distributing your weight outward like you would in the pull position of a snatch. Ironically Takano just posted this a couple days ago

Has anyone ever tried maxing out on non hook snatch grip deadlifts? Tried it today, got to 150kg with hands at the collars.

honestly i would never ask me for lifting advice lol. I have alot of knowledge on kineseology, and exercise physiology.

i am a great trainer for anything but olylifting. I have not actually ever been taught form. I lift by instinct. I am 100% self taught on form minus some small cues.

i am slowly working on figuring things out. but if you want detailed explanations talk to FFF lol. It is not that i dont know what i am talking about, i just have no way to articulate it.

There was some speculation bc the other Alex Lee is one I lifted against from ECU...but for Jon to claim that he's "gonna win 77 nationals in one year" is way too much of a stretch. That leads me to believe its the Asian lee. But the other Alex appeared in the angel drop video tho...so who knows.

Also, after a month of struggles I finally hit 160x6 today. Did an extra. I've failed 160 for 5 three times this month so it felt great.

I don't understand some xfits man...it just proves how clueless some box owners are. They know nothing about lifting. How could you deny a weightlifter?

A bunch of lifters from the town 40 mins away are getting forced to pay the regular membership fee at the xfit they lift at so they are all coming down to my gym now instead hehe

theres no way though man. even on the pendlay forums theyre talking about it being asian alex. Im pretty sure alex from ecu doesnt snatch more than I do and maybe CJ like 140ish? maybe a tad more...maybe.

Jon said it w alot of confidence...hes like i usually dont say this, but....this guy will beat tatum next year at nationals. thats a bold ass claim.

well see, we know someone else that was putting up crazy numbers on but then came off and dropped significantly.

side note missed a 205 squat today. would of been 3x for me based of weight this morning. :/
