@datruth do what FFF did and do less warmups. I had planned something similar to yours, but Leo, my meet coach dropped it way down. Saved me in long run cuz I had to come back for practice attempts because SO MANY people missed lifts. I did 40-60-75-85-93-97-102....I think. Open 103.
Cj like 50-70-90-100-110-115-120 open 122 I think. He was the '04 olympic coach so he knows what he's doing.
Fuk I look like chicken legz

Those jumps are way too huge for me. I have never jumped from 85 to 95 in training, let alone 85-100. Those are the jumps I usually take in training so I don't see the problem in sticking with that? Is it beneficial to change things on game day?
strong photo btw. Good job dave men representing the forum crew at the meet.112.5 snatch

I think I finished 6th in snatch and like 7th in C&J? idk I went 108X/108/111X in snatch and 125/132X/132. 240 total. All the misses and people changing weights in snatch session screwed me over with attempts ha. Brb opening at 107 in like 6 attempts. brb people change and jones on deck. brb just snatched 100 seconds ago. brb fml
But yeah Breanne is a beast. her and her brother are both previous jr national champions and jr world team members. i think she qualified for pan am team or was very close. My other team mate robbie lifts tomorrow in 105+ and from the start list will also take gold or silver. feelsbad if only one with out dat sword :P.
And yeah too many HBBs. wood wife/10 in every session. I almost cried when courtney batchelor bombed out, and she was getting upset. I wanted to not lift and console her. dat wonder woman singlet :3
i can also confirm Schabowy is swole IRL. i think i was one of the smaller looking guys, because of my small upper body lol.

Dropping a knowledge bomb in 3...2...1...
this is the most recent version of the spreadsheet I mentioned a few days ago. Obviously it is set up the way I like to do my programming, but making changes to it is easy. We are going to make a couple other excel workbooks that correlate with this to graph and chart data, and once those are done, I'll upload them as well. I'll try to keep this as straight forward as possible:
1. Meso- I program in 4 week blocks. I set a number of reps for the month. When you change that number, notice all the other numbers on the spread sheet change. The breakdown of reps by week is 30%, 25%, 30%, 15%. This is the only part of the spreadsheet on this page that you would have to manually change the formula if you wanted to distribute the reps a different way. The amount of reps performed per day are clearly labeled at the top, simply change the % there to change the number of reps assigned to that day.
On the meso page, you'll see the week by week layout for reps, with %s assigned to each exercise. Obviously you manipulate this based on lifter. If someone's weakness is their snatch, typically I assign more reps to the snatch. If someone has good technique but needs to improve strength, I'll usually assign more reps to squats and pulls, etc... Set these however you'd like, and again the rest will automatically update. In this example the %s total to 100%, but I usually leave % out to account for days where you may take multiple attempts at a weight if someone misses. (though typically I count misses as reps)
On the top right, you'll see the lifts (snatch, C&J, Back Squat, Front Squat) and the lifter's max. These are the numbers that the following sheets pull from to calculate the load.
2. The weeks- One the week 1 sheet, I've entered some numbers into day 1 so you can see how the spreadsheet works to automatically calculate average relative intensity, average absolutely intensity, and load/tonnage. On the far right these numbers are displayed by lift, and then by day in bold. At the bottom of the spreadsheet it will calculate weekly totals for you.
On the far left where the exercises are listed (snatch from blocks, C&J with pause, etc...) you can change those to anything you like. Anytime the word "snatch" is used the spreadsheet calculates the % based off the lifters max snatch on the "meso" page. Same thing with "back squat' "front squat", "clean" "C&J" or "jerk" respectively. Notice there are spots that have no formulas (on this example, next to the sotts press and abs exercises) this is for general strength training or body building type exercises that aren't typically based off of snatch or clean numbers. I know sometimes people based push presses off of max jerks, so you could very simply write "push press (jerk)" and then copy and paste the formula from the cells above, and it would automatically calculate.
There it is. Hopefully someone can get some use out of this. Feel free to share with others. Questions, comments, criticisms, ideas are welcome. What to expect next: Spreadsheets to gather, and graph misses based on exercise, day of the week, week of the cycle, % of load, rep of the set, and set of the workout.
If you guys decide to use this spreadsheet, all I ask in return is you like our FB page and subscribe to our youtube channel. www.********.com/RumblerWeightlifting and www.youtube.com/RumblerProductions respectively

Does anyone else just love the snatch grip push press? I started doing them when I noticed that my snatch lockout was weak and have been in love ever since. Filmed a few of my sets today, have to admit that I didnt achieve full lockout on some of the heavier sets.
I have also decided to end all of my back squat sessions like Idalberto Aranda and just throw the bar over my head as a final push.
In case anyone doesn´t know, I am talking about this video:

Strength + Speed = Power
If you never fail, you aren't truly pushing yourself to the limit. If you never push yourself to the limit, how do you know what you're truly capable of?

European Championships are this week, anyone watching? I don´t have the time to see all so I´ll just watch the 94, 105 and 105+. If you live in Europe then Eurosport is broadcasting them.

Lucky you didn't have to do 3x10 on squat.... or 4x10 like I had to last cycle... Oh god. It was literally 2,5kg increases every week nonstop for several weeks, I was wrecked. Paid off though, got big PRs in snatch. Right now am getting to take it a little easy on squats, but next week I start the strength phase (5s if you will) and it's basically going to be the same thing just 6x5 instead of 4x10....
