had a 3 hour lab today and knees cramped up because I had to stand up the whole time :| I think it has something to do with my IT and hip rotators, working hardest on inside and outside of the hips at the moment
A good thorough mobilizing of 15-20 mins before a big workout or just during the day when you watch tv shoud be fine.

    tfw not naturally mobile.

I'm pretty sure the only reason I'm not held together with duct tape and spit and a gigantic crippled mass of injury at this point is because of 25 minutes of super-agressive daily preworkout mobility work. Taking a barbell loaded with 195 lb, placing it on your knees in the deep squat and shoving your ankles out as far as possible for 2 sets of 3 minutes, holding lunge splits as deep as possible for sets of 3 minutes, 100+ close grip shoulder disolocations a day, accumulate a total of 5 minutes in the deep squat position, really ****ty painful standing hamstring stretches for sets of 3 minutes.

BTBAM would be proud. Plan: continue toward Lu/Klokov flexibility mode (not srs those guys are naturally mobile as fuark).

wow. hook grip is the key mane. Was using it for snatches and it helped so much. Didn't get a new max because I was doing heavy ass clean n jerks beforehand but I got up to my old one, and a lot easier and cleaner at that. No shoulder pain, much easier to catch and drop down as well as using my hips. Still have glaring form issues on the snatch but I'll work on em.

Did 145kg for 10 singles on cleans today. 315x3x3 for front squat and 275x3x2 dead pause for second front squats.

i get that you have long legs. to maintain posture you need a strong back. How often do you do hyper extensions and lowback work?

i cant tell what your knees are doing i would literally need to be right there to correct you and show you your problems.

I love weightlifting. I'm going to do a competition this summer hopefully. I'm focusing on my snatch and jerk, gunna squat some heavy ass weight.

Whats a good total for a 105kg and 105+? I might do a little cut this summer before I have to get to 280-300 for college track. I was thinking 140 Snatch and 175 C&J.

tweaked my back deadlifting two weeks ago, and I missed all of last week. Also this new medication I am on is really ****ing with me. Back to training this week, and it feels good man.

fukk deadlifts doe. I used to get such bad chronic low-back pain, until I stopped deadlifting entirely and started weightlifting and squatting with a neutral spine.

Yeah, well a client was supposed to max on deads and she didn't want to, so I told her I'd do it with her. Mistake. fml.

I think the angle + skinny ass calves/small thighs + how close together my feet are and my bad form make my legs look a bit longer than they are lol. They are fairly long but not super long. I recently added more bodybuilding work and its helping a bit. I wouldn't say my back is weak because I could deadlift 175kg after a few months of deadlifting while my squat wasnt near (also got something to do with disliking squats back then and favouring deadlifts lol). I just need the mobility to maintain the arch at the bottom and my back will keep position

    hyperextensions erryday

i stopped doing weighted ones and do 3x20 w/ 1 min rest with just body weight. slow and controlled on the decent and explode up. all the while i keep posture like i am squatting.

my form and posture has gotten every better than before. Even on max attempts i hardly sacrifice posture now

how often do you do them, we have a glute ham raise machine at my gym so I usually do those instead although I go all the way down so its a hyperextension into a GHR but i tire out on the GHR part well before hyperextension ROM
