About four weeks ago I started having muscle spasms all over my body. Didn't think much of it at first. After about a week, I realized they were still happening, and began to think "this is not normal." Since then things have been getting progressively worse. I've had a ton of weird symptoms like:
weakness coming and going in my hands
numbness and tingling coming and going in random parts of my body
Insomnia
inability to stay asleep
feeling completely exhausted even after sleeping 8-10 hours
Sound sensitivity
Feeling off balance and uncoordinated
brain fog that comes and goes
trouble remembering things
trouble saying certain words
feeling like I have to piss every 10 seconds
random ringing in my ears that comes in goes
random body "jolts"
Feeling like there is electricity running through my veins
Dizzy spells
I think that's it. Well anyway my primary care doctor suspected I may have multiple sclerosis, so they sent me for a brain MRI. It came back negative for lesions, which is a good thing, however that doesn't 100% rule out MS. So I have to get some more tests done.
In the midst of all of this they've discovered I have a heart arrhythmia, so I'll be having heart surgery on the 18th. Unfortunately the arrhythmia is unrelated to these other symptoms.

Hey, we're still doing this contest thing, right? Scarbro? DaTruth? Anyone else?

I think I could have done a fair bit more if I hadn't maxed out on the front press first. Also, I need to work on getting the positioning/technique right. The first rep was clearly much harder than the last two, and it's because my elbow position was off.Last edited by jb4476; 11-29-2012 at 09:17 PM.

I couldn't agree with you more brah, but when every workout is usually filled with triples and quadruples for the snatch and snatch assistance exercises, it's nice going for a heavy single. Also I've noticed that when the weight gets heavier I actually try to move around the bar instead of just muscling it where I think it should be.

i wish i could explain the 3rd pull to you but i have no idea how i do it, i just do it lol. And when i need to do it faster i just try and pull harder.
and i get the more weight being easier part. It teaches you to not muscle it. I did just recently learn that using lighter weight teaches you when to release the weight to move faster and be more efficient.

I don't have shoulder mobility problems. I actually asked Takano about this explicitly. I asked him: "Is my shoulder mobility a problem?" and he replied "No. Your shoulder mobility is fine. Your only problem is that you don't extend fully enough which causes you to receive the bar incorrectly. That is your only problem". He then berates me for not fully extending. I don't think strict pressing causes shoulder tightness anyway. Benching does, apparently. But I never bench. You're thinking of that other *******, huntito.

I actually might have said huge strength gains. I should be able to do a lot more in the exercise once I get the position of the elbows right and if I do it without having maxed on the press first. I've never done the Klokov press before.
As for width, well, it's a Klokov press, not a BTN press with standard grip. I made sure my index fingers were on the knurls.

It was 240kg btw :P And i'm only doing it for the ego. If I hit 250kg I might just quit deadlifting for a while to save my spine since i'm not gona compete in powerlifting and theres no point in taking the risks of maxing out with insane weight. I feel like i've been 'lucky' to avoid injuries so far.
Deadlift= worst lift to gauge any overall strength(even though you conventionally hear it's the "best"). It's all CNS+ not giving a fuk + leverages lol. ZERO carryover to anything. I mean i'm fairly strong at other stuff but I can show you kids that can deadlift 400lbs+ that can't front squat 185 lol.
I haven't front squatted since I started armwrestling training (srs thats my sport now)and my wrists became inflexible lmao. I still power clean at least 2x/week tho.Misc Strength Crew
