lol maybe its my damn laptops crappy speakers. now that you explained it it makes sense loool im very efficient in my clean compared to my front squat thats why my clean and so close to my front squat.
on the topic of banging the bar, i just realized its the same as the jerk. you drive with the legs/glutes and lift the bar with the transferred energy. theres no 'bang' because the bar is so close to your body that theres barely any separation. not sure if this analogy has been used before or i just discovered a new way to look at it lol

And 1 of them doesn't even lift... and isn't even aware of who Lu Yong or Rybakov are... he just likes the screaming hahaha
I'm like you, I clean really close to my FS max.. but then again I'm just a really ****ty front squatter lol. With my bodyweight I should be squatting well over 300 feels bad manThe Long Road to Competition... My olympic weightlifting journal:

^ Oh, that reminds me
LOL I kinda ****ed up that last one and lost correct posture.
My back squat blew up very fast, I'm very happy with the progress I've made. brb go from 270x7 to 305x6 in 3 weeks. (270x7 posted on the 8th). Brb do at least one of FS/BS for every one of the last 55 days, except Thanksgiving because I literally could not find any gym open despite a great deal of trying.

Yeah, I'd prefer that the last rep did not look like that. I think I wanted it a little too much and nearly got stapled by it. It's annoying because most of the time I can ensure that the last rep does not look like that, before I couldn't. I did 320x3 yesterday and the final rep was a total grinder but I still kept much straighter than that. I think it will become more consistent that the last rep is kept straighter over time. Before my back would always be the first to fatigue, that happens less and less now. Now I think on about 60% of rep PR attempts, I can keep the last rep straight. This one was really, abnormally bad. Actually, probably my worst one, IDKWTF went wrong on that last rep. So let's not show it to Coach, m'kay? Awesome. He'd tear me a new one.
On a (sort of) related matter, I'm willing to bet that because my BS has gone way up, my BTN push press will have as well even though I never BTN push press and last did it like a few weeks ago when coach told me to. So on Friday for our poverty video, I wager that I can rep out 100 kilos and have it on video.Last edited by jb4476; 11-29-2012 at 03:07 AM.

lol it was actually 44kg, but yeah that was me. Ankle flexibility is fine, but my biggest problem is the bolded text I highlighted. Coach targets these areas on me every session. Yesterday he walked up to me, told me to turn around and started poking my rhomboids and the muscles around the scapulae while he kept on saying "You need more meat here..." haha.
Makes no sense.. brb missed 44kg, brb makes 60kg...The Long Road to Competition... My olympic weightlifting journal:

Ilya has the best timing of any lifter alive. He always catches the bounce perfectly. But yeah, when you're at his level you can do whatever the **** you want. I think the reason that he front squats like that is because that would be, or I guess used to be, his sticking point on the clean. Skip to the last clean.
