More like are you new to deadlifting :P. People who deadlift often will for sure have ratios like mine or worse. The carryover is minimal at best. A better indicator of 'weightlifting strength' is your front squat.

interesting.. I was planning on squatting everyday and deadlifting once a week when my exams finish and I can train again.

Do the deadlifts not really make that much a difference? no transfer of glute strength for explosion at the top?

Been having crazy muscle twitches all over my body for the past two weeks. Over the last few days it's moved primarily to just my right eye. Woke up this morning with my left hand tingling feeling numb, and now I can barely hold a gallon of milk in my left hand. This is not good.

The twitching has been happening for almost two weeks now. The numbness/swelling/weakness has never happened before. Temperature doesn't seem to effect it.

Arrived back from the desert at 7 am still kind of drunk and slept until 3 pm. Then I tried to go to the Caltech gym but it was closed because of Veterans day. So, still hungover, I biked to the nearest 24 hr fitness and PRed with a 170x5 strict press and 270x6 FS, no belt. I am pleased with this level of dedication.

Also, happy Veterans' day. Because I am Canada/UK brah, we call it Rememberance Day, it is dedicated to all those in the Commonwealth who were slain during WWI. I would wear a poppy (for Flanders' field) but I don't have any poppies. This is the first year there are no more living veterans of WWI left on Earth. The last died in February.
