Fixed my cleans today. Whipping my elbows through high and fast is seriously fixing my entire form and uprightness. Also I'm keeping the bar farther away from my shins on the floor at the start. More sweep I guess.

Frav needs to get his ass back here. I wo dee what he's hitting these days. Now that he's an OLY 2016 hopeful he's deserting us

I dunno but I'm about to get the new 5mm rehbands. Apparently both rehbands last forever which is why they probably cost more. Everyone loves em. I was thinkin of trying ace bandages.

I'm still on it lol. Ideally I wanna squat 4x a week.

But I'm stuck at two usually with hockey :/
I just add 5lbs every time to every squat sesh once I finish the cycle.

Tomorrow will be uhmmm...4x7r at 270 I think.

nice. at the moment im squatting 4-5 days a week so I think my body is ready (lulz) for a smolov cycle. now that I have this dumb shoulder injury the only real things I can do are squats and pulls anyways lol. You think 2-4 weeks would net a good increase in squat strength? or do you have to do the whole 11-13 week cycle?

What other accessories should I add to help me prime up for full oly lifts once I get a coach? Right now I do front squats, push press, overhead squats, and the other usual compounds like bench, incline bench, weighted pull ups, rows, etc.

Any oly specific accessory compounds I should add?

If I were you, I would try out the Broz method of squatting (since it will only be for 2-4 weeks, not necessarily everyday twice a day, but maybe daily or 6 times a week) I think you will be able to get some solid gainz. Then adjust when you introduce the lifts again.

I was doing muscle snatches, snatch-grip presses from the bottom position, snatch-grip push presses, snatch balances, overhead squats, and snatches from the toes.

as you can see, my coach found my weak points... lol

this is kind of what I'm doing now anyways, at least I think it's the broz/bulgarian method.

work up to max single, then take 85% and rep it at least 3 times for 3 sets. the problem though is my shoulder aches right after racking the heavy singles. I think once the weight gets heavy and I start dipping forward due to my weak core, i flex the shoulders to pull the bar back away from the neck and back on the traps. With lighter weight - higher rep work i don't stress my shoulder as much because I'm very upright

ya well, what Im "suppose" to do every week or once every two weeks a la my coach is max out a 5rm. but I simply don't have time for this so im just blindly on the cycle.

Keep in mind im doing the "mini" smolov, not the full one. And I dont do that 95% 7 singles part, I skip it.

Id say if youre squatting consistently 4 weeks would be a good time frame.

Anybody ever dealt with tennis elbow? As a baseball player I've had issues with my UCL in the past but this is different -- it's basically a pain on the back of my elbow which I feel when my arm is straightened. Obviously it's making lifting a bit difficult. I took last week off from all pressing work, and it still felt like **** during jerks tonight.

I deal with some elbow issues from time to time as well. Mine is weird though, it's in the back of the elbow too but it only ever usually kicks in towards the end of the session and is always fine the next day. I'll ice them after training a lot, but that is really it

can you do me a favor and tell me where they're manufactured (like by looking on the tag or something)? I want a pair, but don't want to risk buying something from China again. Pretty sure rehbands are from Estonia, but I just want to make sure before I risk getting a rash again lol
