Josh, cleans are starting to look good. On your jerks, do you realize how much your hips are moving?
Thanks, yeah the cleans felt better, but the bar is still too far away, I tore 107 off the floor and got under it but it was too far away to catch. Also, it looks kind of like I pull the same way Donny does, i.e I don't pull the slack out. I should probably start doing that, I think my hips are too high.
But yeah I know what you mean on the jerk. The dip ends up sort of hunched.
^ my coach told me to squeeze my glutes before my dip because it keeps your spine straight and encourages you to bend only at the knees and hips locked in place.
no offense taken man, around 16% bf and yes I am 200lbs, I know I don't look it at all though. i can take a scale vid if you don't believe me

I should start watching Frank Yang's videos more, they're ****ing hilarious. I'm amazed he hasn't hurt himself, and also impressed. I'm pretty sure I just watched him tear 190 kg off the floor for reps with alternating snatch grip, if I tried to do that I would rupture a bicep tendon for sure.
How exactly is it that he can throw a 250 PC+J through the ceiling but gets nearly stapled with a 350 lb parallel back squat?

frank yang is the ****ing man.
the lifts aren't in chronological order, I'm guessing the 250 pc + j was done after or around the same time as his 315 x 6 b squat and his 300 x 4 front squat
I remember in like... April when I first started training I got stapled on a 125 kg back squat. Legit couldn't stand up with it. Yesterday I squatted 163 after like 2 hours of snatches and clean and jerks.
If ftwrestler or anyone else has experience with this and wants to chime in, it would be helpful. It's been two months since I started squatting daily, pile that onto frequent practice of the snatch and C+J plus all the other accessories. Based on the last few days, I think I've been hit by the dark times like a ton of bricks. It took me until 6 am to fall asleep last night because of the insomnia which I suspect is a result of excess CNS stress. Today I was so weak I pretty much was sleepwalking through training. I was too tired to bounce when front squatting so I just descended slowly. This is what dark times looks like:
Now, it's not like I am physically incapable of handling the training, and I'm prepared to give it some more time, since Broz says to give it three months and it has only been two, I'm just wondering if anyone who has been doing this longer has experience to report.
On an unrelated note, does anyone know the name of the incredibly lame song that is playing while Klokov push presses 225?

I don't mean for this to come out in a disrespectful way, but are you aware that at the Arnold/Nationals this year, Broz's only two lifters tested positive for prohibited substances? (Human growth hormone and lasix, the latter implies that something more was being taken.)

Yes. Keep in mind that this is not even close to what Broz' lifters do. It's less than half. As I understand it, Broz' lifters train 13x a week, twice on Monday-Saturday and once on Sunday, up to two hours in the morning and 3-4 in the evening, in each of those 13 sessions there is at least one type of squat and the snatch and the clean and jerk. Additionally, Broz' lifters work up to a 1RM in all 13 sessions, while I pretty much never work up to a 1RM in any kind of squatting (today was unusual) and stick to 3-7 rep top sets and on days with no quick lifts like today, will spend maybe 45 minutes in the gym. So, while this programming style is in the spirit of Broz' suicidal enthusiasm, it is far less demanding. Plus, if I'm still destroyed after say, 5 more weeks, I'll probably bail out. But I do want to give it at least some benefit of the doubt.

dude you maxed out on both lifts, took a bunch of attempts, and didn't sleep much at all, probably because that greasy in n out was sitting in your stomach of course you had a **** day. i didn't even go to the gym i was so gassed. just step up your recovery

Yeah, I'm probably just overthinking this as usual. brb going to order giant pizza and then pass out. BTW, was any able to find that lame song that plays while Klokov push presses 225? I've tried my best but I can't find it.
>tfw you think you're gaining weight, and you check scale and you've gained nothing
I think the problem is my school cafeteria meal plan. Its hard for me to track these calories, compared to if i made my own meals, I would be making exactly what i needed.
Also since its buffet style, I feel less compelled to eat when I'm in there, since there's infinite amounts.
I'm gonna have to go into 4 shakes a day mode and go full retard

guys, how do i get my squat up? right now its either a daily max then 2x2 at 90% of it or its 5-8x2-3 at a 85%+ weight. mainly front squatting and back squatting only like once a week or once every two weeks.
