That feel when not only zero PRs, but you miss four PR attempts all by a hairs breadth.
Press attempt 175x7, make 1,2,3,4,5,6 easy, miss 7 as the bar clears the head. ****.
Attempt FS 305 lb (139 kg)x5, make 1,2,3,4 miss 5 leaning forward too much because my midsection was so tired, bar literally falls out of hands. Muscles in between fingers of the right hand feel kind of messed up. Ignore it and move to C+J. I've decided to stop attempting to get out the final rep if my midsection/torso is that fatigued. I can clearly tell when I'm going to buckle on the final rep, but I tend to go for it anyway, sometimes I get it but even if I do the strain on the muscles and joints between the fingers in that rep is tremendous. I've decided to stop because it's stupid, and also because I'm concerned for the long term welfare of the bone and connective tissue in my fingers.
Attempt 105 kg (230)x2 in the C+J. Make 1, make the second clean easy, miss jerk 2. Much worse at the jerk following the full clean than off the rack or the power clean. The squat clean recovery takes a heavy toll on jerk technique. Lame/.
Ditch the jerk and work up to max clean. Attempt 116 kg (255) for a double. Make 1 easy, miss 2, didn't clark it, got under it fine, bar was too far away, ditched it forward.

He decided to move to Seattle and he's going to lift for us obviously.
1 In the fire he stood, his hands upon the iron. And Brodin came unto him and said 2 "I tell you verily, say unto thy squat rack "be light", and it shall be defeated. Say unto thy leg press "be moveable" and it shall be moved. 3 For all things are possible with swole, and through Brodin your shepherd. 4 [For] through Brodin you have the power to trample unmovable iron and bend it to your will as you would your soul.
Lost my meet by 1/10th of a kilo due to bodyweight.

So I'll be taking a break from lifting... I have too many injuries that I haven't taken care of and are becoming serious. I was making insane gains too. Started OLY lifting in August. Got up to 110 C&J, 90 Snatch, 143x8 back squat, 126 hang clean from the knees, 120 jerk...
Anyways, I plan on taking a full week off doing stretches and mobility work. Then will slowly get back into lifting every other day after that. Hoping not to lose too much...
Squat: 135 lbs
Bench: 225 lbs
Deadlift: 185 lbs
Mid hang clean: 278 lbs
Stop quoting my stats. I know what I'm doing if I can deadlift 1.5 plates.

Yeah, I've never tried cleaning anything over 113 or so. Then one day I wanted to try hang cleaning after watching Donny Shankle do 200. Anyways I just kept going until I hit 278lbs and felt like I probably didn't have any more.

^^ I think I pulled it just a slight bit too forward, but it should've been saveable had I caught it better... My right elbow caved on the catch so i couldn't try and stabilize in the hole, and I must've stepped too aggressively or maybe I had to lean my torso forward to stay under the bar but either way the weight was way behind my head and that was it. Had someone else been in my shoes they might've saved that lift.
Has anyone else noticed that when their snatch training frequency drops, you end up missing a lot more lifts? Due to work I have spent the last 5 weeks Mon-Fri away from my main gym living and training in hotels. Now obviously there are no Olympic platforms in these places, not even a squat rack and the Hilton I stayed at last week had a ceiling so low that I couldn´t even lift anything overhead. Because of that I can only properly train the Olympic lifts on weekends but today I had so many misses on weights I used to manage so easily before. And it isn´t because of strength since that has been going up overall. Anyone else had similar issues?
