I have jerk blocks but never use em because they are too freaking heavy to push around. Umadbrah?
No wheels? Poverty jerk blocks.
1 In the fire he stood, his hands upon the iron. And Brodin came unto him and said 2 "I tell you verily, say unto thy squat rack "be light", and it shall be defeated. Say unto thy leg press "be moveable" and it shall be moved. 3 For all things are possible with swole, and through Brodin your shepherd. 4 [For] through Brodin you have the power to trample unmovable iron and bend it to your will as you would your soul.
Our's have wheels on the side so you can tip them over and roll them away.

His best c&j is actually 211, I believe, not 205. He's got that monster 225 jerk though which is just crazy.
Also, how is Kendrick's technique bad? I keep hearing everyone saying this, what is bad about it?
its not that its "bad". obviously its good enough to get him 211, but at the same time it could be better.

^ Squat jerks are touchy, just gotta be technical and consistent, and balance plays a big factor IMO. He almost CJd 219 (over the 85 world record) here. The clean looked easy and the jerk was close: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6wOHTeRI-k

How could it be better, though? Like, what specifically is "off" about it?
IMO, Kendrick lacks the trunk and shoulder flexibility to properly externally rotate his shoulders in the overhead position. He has incredible, freakish strength but the stability required to be putting weights overhead consistently is not there for him, unfortunately. I speculate that he is a 170/210 kinda guy if he could stack the shoulders properly. A perfect example of the difference to compare is take a look at an Apti Aukudov snatch or jerk sequence and compare that to Farris'. Apti has some of the best positions in the game right now. Again, this is all my opinion, but take a look and judge for yourself.
Best comparison I could dig up in pictures, sorry. Watch some vids and you will see what I mean. Apti has a rock solid overhead position.

Agreed. Kendrick should just switch to doing regular split jerks. As DaTruth´s video shows, he clearly has enough power to drive the bar up but once he drops down into the jerk, the bar is just too far forward and squatting up something that heavy when holding it overhead requires a lot more strength. I know this sounds weird, a recreational lifter trying to preach to one of the world´s top athletes but I really feel that this is the case.
Strength + Speed = Power
If you never fail, you aren't truly pushing yourself to the limit. If you never push yourself to the limit, how do you know what you're truly capable of?

It's not about the strength to stand up with a squat jerk, it is getting the right position so that the bar stays overhead. Also, pn squat jerks you don't drive the bar up as high as compared to a split jerk.

i have freakish external rotation of my shoulders, which i think is one of the reasoning i took to power/squat jerking so quickly.
Kendrick looks like he is capable of lifting so much more than he does (i mean with gym numbers, not because he is a swole black guy), i think in the next couple years we might see him make some progress.
also has anyone ever done 5x5 with jerks?

Ehhh, wasn't too bad honestly. The last set was a grinder but not quite "please kill me now" like 10x10 front squats.

so i never realized you were supposed to really squeeze your ass at the top of the pull (never used my ass much for anything, thanks spine) and ive never snatch pulled 100 higher or with better bar path. pretty stoked for the prs that are on the horizon
