I lift sunday bro... Is there any hope for me? Anyone got a good link on the subject. Article or something
Cut out all carbs til right after you weigh in and then carb-o-load like your life depended on it right after weigh-in, you'll swell back up.
Post weigh-in eat **** like fruits, OJ, Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches etc. I literally dropped 10lbs in like 5 days my first week on keto. The water manipulation stuff works well too

I went full retard mode and hurt my left shoulder. Well I don't know what's wrong with it, probably just needs to rest.
I did front jerks/back jerks/push presses about 4-5 times a week for 3 weeks. My shoulder hurts so much that I can't jerk anymore... I always get too excited when I see progress and overdo it.

high hang cleans.
as soon as u stand up think about doing a snatch balance (drop snatch).
I find the whole uproar a bit puzzling. The part about his coercion of his teammates is the most disconcerting part, but the drug use itself? Really, who cares? People who say "well, he cheated, that's what the uproar is about" need to understand game theory a little bit better.
OK, so imagine, for simplicity, a world where PED use could never be detected. So there is no potential risk of their use. Athletes competing at the top level can choose to abstain from PED use or take part in it. In theory, the two situations "everyone abstains" and "everyone dopes" are identical, since presumably, the best undoped athletes, are also probably going to be the best doped ones, and vice-versa.
However, if everyone abstains, then it only takes one person defecting to realize "hey look, I'll never get caught, if I take these I'm more likely to win, so I'll take them". It is really easy to demonstrate that what will actually happen is that it will converge toward "everyone dopes". This is the only Nash equilibrium point in the game.
In the real world, the situation is, well pretty much identical to the one above except with the potential of getting caught. On the other hand, if you don't use PEDs, you will never win against everyone else who is and so you will never make your livelihood in the very top of your sport. Lance Armstrong won all his TDFs against people who put exogenous EPO in their morning orange juice.
Which is why it is annoying when people say "well, I held up Lance as an example for my son because he beat cancer bla bla bla but now that he's admitted PED use he can go **** himself?" Really? What was he supposed to do? He was a professional cyclist. His job was to win. And he lied countless times over his career because, again, what was he supposed to do? This was his job. All professional athletes in the very highest of levels understand this. If you don't like it, that is fine, but find another profession, because there will be someone else willing to take the risks, to lie, and they will beat you.

people don't understand that; PEDs are portrayed by the media as hur dur terrible
100% what feces said for catching at bottom. Tall cleans or high hang. Go heavy and you'll have no choice but to race it to the bottom.
One training session of them and it'll change everything srs
About lance. I don't even care...I knew he used, so whatever. The sheep will always think their favorite athletes are clean. It's true for everything in life. top executives on Wall Street were lying to customers and doing very shady **** in the financial collapse in 08ish. Why? To get ahead, for them making money is akin to lance winning 7 tours
Datruth your friend is pretty sick. Is he a 77 and competes?

The snatch will be over before you even started. Seriously though, lemme find you my favorite donny shankle article ever, perfect the night before a comp.
You fall apart in competition because you are trying to take control and direct your actions instead of just reacting. You are missing because once you enter competition you begin to guide the exercise. Remember, in training you put in repetitions to make your lifting automatic. In your own gym you are coolheaded because you are not thinking about the crowd before you in a competition, you are not thinking about the other competitors and what they are doing, you are not thinking about what you could potentially do wrong during an attempt. In training you are not thinking at all, instead you are confidently reacting to what you have to do. All of the countless hours you have put in training yourself to react to the bar automatically goes out the window once your mind takes over and you begin to think. Not thinking is difficult to do for most of us because we use our brains everyday to live. This is where self-confidence must take over and why I speak about ego being one of the five factors of the winning mind. Get out of your head and do not guide your body. Relax and allow your body to do what you have trained it to do. You have automatized yourself in training to lift with confidence, relaxation, and with a positive attitude. The next time you are in a competition “let go” and do not think about anything. React only to the bar aggressively and your body will remember what you have trained it to do.

Had some dayquil, took a shower and manned the **** up and went to the gym.
Hit a pair of PRs:
Strict press 170x8
Back Squat 340x5
I was planning to front squat afterwards. However, my throat is very sore due to my cold, and I found that I was unable to breathe properly with the bar in the racked position, so I left it for another day. I could not ask for more anyway.
I would find a gif to describe my facial reaction, but I think it would be insufficient.

so used to everything in this thread being in kg I almost pissed myself thinking you hit 170kg on your press

I´m not sure if this is the best way of doing it but this is how I did it: I just added weight to the bar so that I was forced to squat down to rack it since I just wouldn´t be pulling it as high anymore. To this day I never squat clean something I can power clean.
Strength + Speed = Power
If you never fail, you aren't truly pushing yourself to the limit. If you never push yourself to the limit, how do you know what you're truly capable of?

LMAO, if I could strict press 373 lbx8 I would probably be the strongest overhead presser currently on Earth at any bodyweight and if I could back squat 750 lbx5 then I would probably hold all the WRs in my weight class regardless of technique.
Today I went for a small session at our facilities
arrived there just after some geriatrics group left and was completely alone,
we recently cleaned everything up so I couldnt find any CDs for our stereo, EXCEPT for a Katy Perry LP someone seemingly left behind from the group
I never PR'd harder than today

good thing too, because I didn't want to change my pants until after I worked out today
i know were all way beyond this point, but if anyone needs motivation to loose some weight. this is the site to go.
ITL: funny fat people stories for days
Due to my being an underworked senior about to graduate I spent way too of the last 24 hours reading these.
Incredibly depressed now, even though a decent % of them are probably made up. I never knew I could be so depressed and laugh so hard at the same time.
