You guys think I should stop doing the lifts while I deal with this shoulder impingement or maybe just go light for awhile? Everything I read online says not to do anything that irritates it, but idk if I can stand to take that much time off...

Yeah sorry, I meant specifically the snatch and c&j. I'll definitely keep squatting and doing some back work. It just suck not being able to practice these for a month or two when I only just started. I guess I'm better of doing it right the first time though.
how do I keep more upright in my paused fs position?

my back is the strongest thing on me. I think my core is lacking strength, will more front squats fix this? focusing on backsquats at the moment though, and yeah I'm not sure if thoracic mobility is too much of an issue because I can snatch properly but I could definetly use some more thoracic mobility
I would like to share this bit of fail with you fine folks. So I'm a power jerker but exhaustion with a side of derp led to this spectacular failure.
If you think that's bad look at this failboat and I'm only doing in the 60kg range still. The 2nd rep is when it gets bad, was the last rep of the day, I was tired, and my calf popped on me at the bottom of my clean.

Despite jumping back nearly a foot, I seem to get better at catching the weight
That muted conversation between reps 2 and 3 is Takano telling me how much I suck, the reason I'm jumping back so much is consistent failure to extend the hips.
Hit 325/3 on the fs today. Cuz of my ****ty plates at school it could have been 315...but regardless it means my strength is coming back after my back injury which is good.

I do hope so, I don't have him for much longer. I graduate in June and I'm not sticking around SoCal. That being the case, it's important I go as much as possible and learn as much as I can before I leave.

lol same thing happened to me when i first started, shoulder got injured like the 4th week with takano, it'll get better bro

Clean looks a lot better man. Bar isn't crashing nearly as much.

your form is 5x better than when I left in December. It looks like you've made some significant progress technique wise. keep it up!
also todays workout was so bad i just am going to forget it with something less painful.....remembering my tennessee titans season

standing up feels weird because when i get under i slightly widen my feet which makes my knees go in a bit when i squat back up. ill get some vids up later

Dude you've got to be kidding me....lol. Are u really that clueless about cutting weight? You do know some people lose like 4kg in a week...Zoe smith, the 17yr old little 56kg girl cut like 3kg in 24ish hours from GBR.

Seems like it could be a bit of a stretch. 125 is 91% of 137, I think your 3RM is roughly around 90% of 1RM, so if you could make 125 for a triple it would be a better shot, but there's really only one way to find out.

Look up Tnation article on cutting water. Seriously though yosure one lb over. Just date well now and cut drinkig water like Saturday early evening or afteenoon. Take a **** and you'll be good.
If not you have an hour anyway hit a sauna or do some laps.
I went full retard mode and hurt my left shoulder. Well I don't know what's wrong with it, probably just needs to rest.
I did front jerks/back jerks/push presses about 4-5 times a week for 3 weeks. My shoulder hurts so much that I can't jerk anymore... I always get too excited when I see progress and overdo it.
Squat: 135 lbs
Bench: 225 lbs
Deadlift: 185 lbs
Mid hang clean: 278 lbs
Stop quoting my stats. I know what I'm doing if I can deadlift 1.5 plates.
