I'd go to the dr and ask about trazadone (spelling?), I got a script, and I take it every now and then, but if you don't get 8 hrs of sleep on it you will be tired as hell, or just tylenol PM, but the over the counters make me tired all day

Tryptophan, Malatonin, Kava Kava. (periodic). Btw some people's sleeping patterns are just like that. What matters is how energetic you feel during the day

not sure...
you would be better off getting something basic like melatonin or see a Dr about a sleep aid.
cheaper and more efficient

5-htp for falling asleep, melatonin for staying asleep,
others worth mentioning: magnesium, kava kava, valerian

Before you start getting over the counter or prescription meds for this, try stacking melatonin and ZMA. I used to have issues falling asleep and staying asleep, but ever since I started taking this stack I have absolutely no issues whatsoever.
Optimum Nutrition ZMA:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/zma.html
Optimum Nutrition Melatonin:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/melatonin.html
I usually take one serving of ZMA and 2 servings of Melatonin 30 minutes before bed. Taking them on an empty stomach helps in my honest opinion.
Best of luck.
(P.S. Enjoy the vivid dreams)

Yes ambien is hardcore and yes it does have side effects, but it gets the job done. Better educate yourself on it before taking it.
I took it for months at a time and never developed an addiction nor had any side effects of sleep walking or such, other than memory loss for a certain period before falling asleep.

But by stacking those does that like build a tolerance, like if u started taking that does ur body depend on this to sleep from then on?

Now, correct me if I am wrong anyone, but I do not believe so. I took this stack for 4 months straight and stopped cold turkey once I ran out of ZMA/Melatonin, and I suffered no ill effects nor did I have any large difficulty in sleeping. So, I think you are free to take this without having to cycle it. Once again though, if anyone has any information otherwise, feel free to correct me.

that's odd because melatonin and ZMA(magnesium) are not good for "falling" asleep. They help you keep a deep sleep but do nothing to get you there.

I think part of my issue was that realizing that I get poor sleep caused me to have anxiety when trying to fall asleep. Once I experienced true deep sleep on this stack, it allowed me to relax and actually fall asleep with no problems whatsoever.

could have absolutely be the problem, often people get "racing mind syndrome" and have trouble falling asleep due to thoughts. The longer it takes to fall asleep the higher the anxiety and frustration. That was my problem

i get this basically, ill end up staying up late, and realize that I have to wake up in 5 hours, so i get all "fu ck i have to wake up in 5 hours" and 4 hours later i finally fall asleep. last two days its been like that. a little exaggerated but the same premise
