Anyone pumped for new Atreyu?
I've been looking forward to it for ages now, it really seems like its a different versin of " The Curse" , you can checkout a few full songs online, and in itunes you can stream part of each song.
i can't wait, its definitely not going to be like Lead Sail, Paper Anchor

I wasn't aware they were going to release a CD this month. Thanks for informing me.
I'm quite fond of a death-grip on yesterday, so hopefully this album will have a few similar tracks.

I'll listen to it through at least once or twice. Their other albums have been quite good, so it should be pretty decent.

I read some article saying they were going back to what they use to do, and started blaming other people for the songs THEY wrote on the last album, saying it wasn't their fault. Made me lol. I'll listen to it I guess. Haven't really cared about the band since about 02 though.

eh, the album was fairly influenced by dan jacobs ( guitar ) who loves 80's metal, so LSPA seemed to really include them aspects, but this album is not like it at all.

That's not even close to what they said, and he's always been into 80's and it's never made his writing change. They've always had riffs like that so where you're trying to come from I have no idea. They blamed it on the people recording them saying it was their fault. I lol'd. Oh well, band fell of during The Curse imo.

was a fan of the suicide notes & butterfly kisses album (i used to blare lip gloss and black everyday on my way to high school)
..the curse...pehh.. was dissapoint..
that last cd they put out made me write them off completely
..willing to give them another chance though (goes and checks myspace)
EDIT: just watched their video for "storm to pass"
Alex needs to realize hes a terrible singer ..and that no amount of vocal effects will change that..he needs to stick to raw screaming..
props to the bassist for the handlebar stash he sports in the vid.
and the solo was preety cool..besides that ,..once again...i am dissapoint.

really, considering they never blamed the album on anything? they have always said they liked how the album turned out so i don't know where you're getting that pile os BS from man? they have said nothing but praise towards those involved in recording the album ... link to where they say that? ( its rhetorical, i know there isnt one, even on their myspace up until the new album layout very recently came out their about me was filled with praise
http://www.rockworld.tv/Atreyu-Live-...kworld.TV.html
read that as they talk about it, and even part of it says "guitarist] Dan [Jacobs],” Saller says. “He has always been big time into ‘80s rock and metal and this time we took that stuff and made it bigger than life.”"
funny, thats what i said? gtfo my thread i dont give a **** about the bs lies you make, and dont present them as facts because they arent, research that **** before you believe it.

haha sorry i negged cause i take atreyu very seriously
but to me its strange that i cant find a single mention of it online ( i just spent like an hour looking ) they have constantly said in interviews ( youtube, and written ) of how proud they were of their work, and thats its important to keep progressing, their about me up until this week was a gigantic piece written about LSPA and how it was something they all felt strongly about etc
and the article i link even mentions it a little.

i dont know man, that issue had an article i wanted to read so i bought it. i was into atreyu a long time ago so i decided to read through it and they were saying how they were really unhappy with the way the album came out and how they didn't like some of the people they worked with and they started blaming them for the songs and what not and said because of this, they were taking control again and going back to metalcore roots. if i had a scanner id scan it bro.

i still dunno dude, id find it hard to believe they only mentioned it in 1 article if they were truly angry with it, not to mention why would they bring out a new edition of that album lol.
but ill rep you on spread haha ( since negs or only half the rep power, itll actually put you futher ahead than u previously were )
but im still looking for revolver interviews about it and ic ant find any online lol

I'm obviously not going to type out the entire article but like I said they were blaming everyone else for the songs they ended up writing, and I just found it dumb for them to blame other people. Here are a few samples from the article
"To the diehard atreyu fans who felt let down by the slick melodicism of singles like "slow burn" that defined the Orange County metalcore band's last album, 2007's Lead Sails Paper Anchor, frontman Alex Varkatzas has something to say: He agrees."
"Without trying to throw anyone under the bus, we looked back at our last record and it wasn't 100% the way we had envisioned it."
"We let him get his hands a little too deep into the project. It made us uncomfortable in trying to express ourselves about what we wanted"
So yeah, they just weren't stoked on it as I said, and my main point was them blaming other people for the songs they wrote.

ah fair, that seems a little different to how u first expressed it.
though it is kinda similar, its the first ive seen/heard of a response like that, but its not to say they didnt intend something like that album, considering the producer has worked with a ton of other great bands aswel.
ill rep on spread

This band pretty much has sucked since The Curse. Their new crap sounds like three doors down with slightly better riffs.
