How did you get it for free? I was thinking of trying to bootleg a copy, but not sure if I want or need it.
My old rig runs XP just fine, no bugs.

I am using it on my windows machine as well. So far, so good. And I am not a fan of Microsoft.

In my case, no virtual memory issues. When I am on, I am using a **** ton of programs at once, and from time to time with vista everything would just slow down. Very annoying. Have not had that problem yet.
No noticeable speed increases, but then I am used to windows being slower than my stripped-down linux set up anyway, so it would have to be a lot faster for me to notice.
Not sure if I like some of the settings (task bar, that sort of thing) but have not really spent much time messing with them yet. Will probably find a way to customize it to my liking.
