Question Boxing gloves

Two questions regarding my gloves....There lookin fairly worn....Do you guys use a leather conditioner on yours and if yes what....I got saddle soap? Also, since my bag is in the basement, that's where I keep my gloves....its a dry environment but, should I wrap them up in a towel or plastic bag in pervent cracking?.....Thanks

I supose the first questionis: what kind of gloves are they and are you surs they are leather?

If they are I would wash them every so often with Murphy's oil soap or another pure glycerine leather soap. This should keep them pliable if they are already showing signs of dryness you could use a leather conditioner like neatsfoot oil or mink oil just use it sparingly as it can over moisturize and make leather rot. Lexoil is another good leather product you can use.

If they are vinyl or you aren't sure I would just use the murphy's or saddle soap, they are moisturizing soaps but they will just clean the vinyl and any of the leather preperations would just sit there and do nothing

My basement is cooler...but not cold,I didn't know if I should keep them upstairs to keep them in a constant warm environment......
