Some background on my experience and training:
I started to take training seriously in December of last year and have been hard at it ever since. I started a skinny-fat 147 lbs (morning dry) and am now at about 165 (morning, dry) with a lower BF%. My training has been a 3 day split:
Monday: Back/Bis
Wednesday: Legs/Shoulders
Friday: Chest/Tris
I throw in abs and traps where I can fit them. I have switched up the order of these days and the exercises but I have always incorporated squats and deadlifts and bench (until switching to DB exclusively recently). I've made some good gains but I feel like I have stalled except for chest which is going up due to (IMO) switching from starting with flat BB to incline DB and switching completely to DBs. I am taking this week off of lifting to rest and to research a new routine. I'm looking at
Bill Starr's 5x5 routine but I am open to other suggestions. My goal right now is to add more lean mass/strength before cutting some fat for next summer.
