Time To Get Serious!...No More Excuses!!!

I started lifting seriously about 3 years ago. I started at 5'11" and 157 lbs. I was skinny. I quickly built up to about 175 keeping my body fat in single digits. I wanted to be bigger though. I started eating a ton with the goal of getting to 185. I did great the first year, but since then I haven't been real honest with myself. I got to 185 but gained an additional 10 pounds on topof that and got a little soft around the middle. I justified this by saying I was "bulking" and that's just what happens when you bulk. For the last year and a half I have wanted to be shredded but have lacked the discipline so I keep starting "new" bulking phases.
The lies have come to an end. Starting tomorrow I am going to get ripped. My pants will fit comfortably again and my abs will look great. I am starting this journal so I have something to be accountable for. I will post my workouts and general diet every day. I am currently about 16% bf. By new years I will be single digit body fat again. Anyone that has any advice for me along the way will be repped!

Day 1

So far this has been a tough day. I got home from work last night and my wife had just cooked a batch of delicious looking brownies. I did not partake. I woke up late this morning and had to run out the door to get to school. no time for breakfast. grabbed an apple and some peanuts. I really need to do some shopping to have things on hand for these occasions. After class I hit the gym.

Workout: Shoulders
Military press - 8,6,4
Lateral Raises - 10,8,6
Front BB Raises - 8,6,4
Reverse flye - 8,6,4

everything was done with a 2/1/2 count. I went heavier than normal and felt good. finished off with 15 minutes on the treadmill. need to get that to 30.

Went home and had a protein shake.

Now I'm sitting at work and hungry as hell. Ate a few organic corn chips with fresh salsa to get me by until lunch. Currently craving sugar!

Day 2

Woke up early enough to make breakfast before school today. I boiled a couple dozen eggs, peeled and refridgerated so I have them ready in the morning. that should help get breakfast in even when I'm running late. diet today was decent but i did give in to a candybar after lunch that my boss gave me. fealt guilty afterwards though.

Workout today was legs:
Squat -
135x10
185x8
205x6
225x4

DB Lunges -
40x8
45x6
50x4

single leg extensions -
60x8
75x6
90x4

Calf raises,
70x15
95x12
115x10

Abs

I haven't done a lot of work on my legs for years. I shattered my ankle a couple years ago and it still hurts when I squat but it's definately getting stronger. I feel like I need to add another exercise for leg day. any suggestions?

I didn't have time for cardio but I will run tomorrow. It is a rest day for lifting so I will do a little extra cardio.

Haven't gotten to my measurements yet. weighed in at 197lbs this morning.

No lifting today but did run for 30 minutes. wow I'm out of shape.
