Okay, basically, I got these exotic vegetable chips, they're pretty delicious, but i'm in a quandary. They list sweet potatoes and Batata as ingredients.
"Ingredients: a seasonal mix of root vegetables (sweet potato, parsnip, batata, taro, yuca), canola oil and/or safflower oil and/or sunflower oil, beet juice concentrate (for color), salt."
now, Batata is spanish for Sweet Potato, and going off of the pictures on their site (http://www.terrachips.com/index.php) they don't look anything like each other, so it can't just be...sweet potatoes. The only thing I can think of is that they're just regular potatoes? IDK, someone help me out here.

Batata is another type of sweet potato, with purple skin and dry white (often flaky) flesh. It tends to have a very low water content (when compared with regular sweet potatos) and a much milder sweet flavor. They're more common in south/central american cuisine, where they're often used in soup.
Nutritionally it's about the same as a regular sweet potato, lots of Vitamins A and C. Despite the light color flesh it's not the same as a regular white potato.
