    10lbs in 1 week...worried

So ive been eating steak and eggs for the last 4 weeks. The first week i lost 8lbs, wich i fig was mostly water. Weeks 2 and 3 i lost 2.5lbs each week. Today was the end of week 4 without a carb-up, and mostly steak and eggs. I hop on the scale this morning to see and im down 10 friggin pounds. Its not so bad since im cutting, but its scary to see such a huge drop in weight. I know its not the normal water u gain from a crab-up cuz i haven't had one, and ive been under 10g of carbs for 28 days now. Any ideas? I am more worried then happy about the weight loss.

    Diet:
    Steak
    Eggs
    Cheese
    Multivitamin
    Fiber Sup

    ~ 2500 cals, 70% Fat, 33% Prot, 2% Carb.

Start weight 4 weeks ago 246lbs. Weight as of this morning 224lbs.

    Keto cut -105lbs (-12% BF)
Keto bulk +20lbs (1% BF increase)
Current Keto cut -7lbs (BF% unknown)

    Current stats:
    238lbs
    19% BF
    Too much energy

With those kinds of macros and that calorie intake im pretty sure you are also losing muscle as well as fat. That may be why you are seeing so much weight fall off so fast.

Well im sure of that, but 10 lbs is a little extreme. Im only eating at -800 cals from what i was told my BRM is and im not doing any cardio. I lift 4 days a week. My prot intake is only a small bit under what it should be. I was just fine with losing 2lbs a week, i think ima go see my doc to make sure everything is ok. Ive been doing keto for well over a year and never lost so much weight unless it was after a carb-up.

A few people on here have mentioned a "woosh" that Lyle Mcdonald talks about. It is a sudden drop of fat due to carb restriction. I posted a link. Apparently the fat absorbs the water and if you restrict water intake (dry carb-up) the fat releases and thus the woosh. Take a look it is interesting.

I see a diet high in saturated fat and no essential fatty acids, no high quality whey protein, and also a lack of your weekly cheat meal which is essential for many reasons.

I would not continue this way. read dave palumbos keto diet and get on a healthy keto diet.

Personally, I can't see a thing wrong with it, except for the lack of vegetables. Eat more greens, and have some salmon or other oily fish occasionally.

How is your strength generally? How is your energy? If you feel fit and healthy, and your lifts are not suffering, I'd take it as Nature giving you a helping hand. Enjoy it while it lasts, that rate of weight loss will slow down.
    65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs = keto.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with the way you're eating other than that you have dairy which may actually inhibit your fat loss. They're are plenty of people that eat meat and/or eggs only and nothing else. As for the 10 lbs. loss, it's most likely the majority of water. I've heard of some people losing as much as 17 lbs. the first week or two when they go down to zero carbs.

After your post in the other thread, i'd suggest you stop giving advice and read some books and get educated.
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the US. And guess where it comes from (except genetics)....that's right! High amounts of saturated fats and cholesterol.
That's why 60% of americans are overweight and obese. Too many people with this kind of mentality. No health proffessional will tell you to go ahead and have a diet high in saturated fat.

Please stop giving bad advice. Are you a nutrition and diet proffessional?

LOL.. your telling me to read... I think you need to do research in all aspects of THIS diet. Cardiovascular disease has been increased beacuse of our western diet.. If you look at all the diets that are not western. THey have low carbohydrate rates and high fat and protein.. all healthy and very low cardiovascular issues.. All mederterian deits are high fat diets. one of the healthiest people on the planet.. I myself was a sports med major in college and also studdied micro bio.. I think i know what i am talking about..

My workouts are fine, they just take a bit longer to get through because i'm needing longer breaks between each set. Other then that i feel great, i could go forever without carbs if i didn't need them. I'll take it for nature like you said Eileen, plus my doc said i'm as healthy as ever =)

Ive been on keto for over a year and a half, and ive lost about 113lbs. I know how to properly do the diet, so anyone trying to tell me im doing it wrong just save your breath because your waisting your time. When im not trying to break a plateau i eat tons of spinach, broccoli, and many other foods. But at the moment im plateau busting with steak and eggs for one more week. I wasnt asking for diet advice, just wondering how it was possible to drop so much weight after already losing water weight.

And i forgot to add that i do indeed put 1 tablespoon olive oil on top of almost everything i eat.

Can I just point out that the one food we are absolutely certain nature intended humans to eat is human breast milk. And it's full of saturated fat and cholesterol.

I assume you are not advising mothers to stop breastfeeding because formula has less sat fat and cholesterol than breast milk?

While we are on the subject, while I'm all for olive oil, it is not a local product in many part of the world. How would you advise an inhabitant of Ireland of 1000 years ago to eat? We had lots of animals, fish, eggs, vegetables, nuts in season, fruit in season. No olives or sunflower seeds. If, as you suggest, butter, cheese, eggs and meat are all too high in sat fats and cholesterol to eat, what should we eat?
    65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs = keto.

Saturated fat DOES NOT cause heart disease. It's been proved time and time again that Ancel Keys fudged the data in order to come to his "Lipid Hypothesis" and that there is not one competent study that proves that consumption of saturated fat is casuality for heart disease.

I thought this was a keto forum? Next I'm going to be hearing about how the body requires carbs to function at the rate we've been going...
