Keep in mind Theo did everything he possibly could to unload Manny every chance he got. He was supposed to be traded every off season, every trading deadline, etc. Hell, Theo put him on irrevocable waivers.

Theo would also give digs at Manny every chance he got when talking about contracts. He always talked about not wanting to give out long term contracts like could tie up the payroll for years, there were always reports about the Sox being so concerned with growing the farm, having arbitration eligible players, etc.

Theo made it very clear if he was the GM when Manny was a FA, he would not be on the Red Sox.

And Nomar was only hated by Red Sox fans because Red Sox fans are f*cking morons. Eventually they realized how much he cared about playing for the Sox and came around. But initially Red Sox fans only showed their ignorance.

Nomar was run out of Boston in that final year he played for them. I wouldn't blame him for being a little bitter at them in those final weeks after all he'd done for that franchise

How was Nomar run out of Boston exactly? BEFORE his last season started he made his infamous "I'm insulted by a 4/$60M year contract" and that pissed people off. He was insulted we were offering him $15M a season. That sealed his fate. Then he got hurt, then he bitched and moaned, etc.

He was bitter at the HIMSELF for rejecting that contract. He probably didn't see $15M the rest of his career, and we were offering him that for FOUR years. Theo and John Henry wanted him to stay, and they offerred him a long term deal. He thought he deserved ARod/Jeter money. Whoops.

Oh, and lol @ you claiming to know anything about Boston and its fans. You're 3000 miles away from Boston. You don't know anything about the Red Sox fans, the media here, etc. It's like you describing the way a vagina feels. You've probably been as close to that as you ever have to Boston.

we havent been looking good. we shoulda lost the series to the Os but bard saved the day and we split a 4 game series with the wack ass indians. we only scored 8 earned runs in the final 3 games of that series. pretty gay.

Sox are 5-0-3 in their last 8 series; haven't lost a series since dropping 2 of 3 @ Detroit in mid May. As expected, the team has gained some ground during this easy stretch, but unfortunately, the Junkies are also playing great baseball.
