Nicely played partisanship.
Before this story broke did any of you give a damn about this award?
LOL!
Do you really need to distort the hell out of everything, just so it makes sense while wearing your partisan blinders?
Many posts have already said that this award makes the Nobel Peace Prize look absurd. Not because "Obama" won it, but because "a man who hasn't actually accomplished anything in his life, and certainly nothing on a global scale" was awarded it, after being nominated a mere two weeks into his administration.
What did Senator Obama do to deserve this?
What did candidate Obama do to deserve this?
Hell, what has President Obama done to deserve this?
Other than increased wars, belligerence towards countries we don't agree with, and naive fantasies about a nuclear-free world?
So far, all his supporters can come up with is vague references to great and wonderful things.... That haven't actually happened, or the standard insult against anyone who dares to disagree with them. Or, the typical "It's OK, because Bush did or didn't do something-or-other..."

This. Actually accepting this award anytime after the cold war probably means your a propagndist attention whore. Although I'd agree he's made some effort in overall deconstruction of america's power-tripping.

hahaha, I'm thinking Hilarry clinton should've gotten it for her resolution efforts toward the developing Conana Obrien vs. Mayor of Newark NJ feud.

Yeah, actually it does.
So you're telling me that anti-American sentiment is the root cause of terrorism in Indonesia, Malaysia, Chechnya, Phillipines, etc, etc?
Only in a very few instances is terrorism a result of anti-American sentiment.

The Taliban, Al-Qaeda, and other terrorist organizations are reconstituting and gaining strength. Obamas message is not one of peace through strength, but just plain weakness indecision and appeasement.
Obama is utterly ineffective at bringing the world closer to peace. It is appeasers like him and like Neville Chaimberlain a generation ago, who by their appeasement LESSEN the chances for peace as the power hungry aggressors on the world stage are encourged and helped by the weakness of people like Obama.
Because not appeasing in Korea, Vietnam (where we ****ing killed over 4 million people), Iraq, etc. has been so peaceful. Oh, except to the millions who had to die. I sometimes wonder that if instead of the millions of brown people being killed overseas in our aggression for economic profit that if it were millions of people in America being killed instead, maybe people would care more?
Oh, and where would Hitler have been if we didn't send Germany into hyperinflation by giving them unpayable debts after WWI?
I wouldn't even call what Chamberlain did appeasement; the people in the territory he gave back were all German, spoke German, and identified themselves as German.

Then again, you're not fooling anybody with your faux concerns. You didn't argue against the war and the resulting civilian casualties when it was Bush pressing the button.
And maybe, just maybe, we have to bomb and kill more people because Bush half assed it for 8 years and they built up their strength. Crazy, I know.
Don't worry, I'm used to dealing with hypocritical Obama haters.

I agree with you partially here, but Woodrow Wilson was all but kicked out of the League of Nations for insisting that Europe ease the post war reparations on Germany. Europe phucked up on that one, we tried to stop them from enabling the rise of another tyrant humiliating the German people.

Yeah, if only code pink had been pro war during the Bush era, he could have had the public support to bomb the middle east into oblivion
Honestly it is hilarious to me to watch O-bots that were raving against the war a few years ago supporting its expansion now. Why hinder Bush's efforts if you wanted him to 'finish the job'? Oh thats right, you don't actually have any principals, just partisanship.
Edit: Not aimed at you specifically, I'm pretty sure you're not an o-bot.
