Most cost effective way to play Ipod in car? [serious]
I'm looking for something simple [and cheap] that just plugs in to my cig lighter and i can put it on that FM station and play it on my stock stereo.
Good suggestions repped.

FM transmitter suck! If you know how to wire stuff get a FM Modulator, or buy a Auxilary Input Adapter!

Get this one. I have one and to get real good quality out of it just change the settings to international mode and set transmit channel to 87.9. Its illegal to broadcast on that channel in the US so its always clear.
I use this exact one and I paid $40 for it at Kmart but can be got off ebay for like $10 and its well worth the $40 I paid IMO.
Also that USB port in it is nice so you can hook your sync cable from your mp3 player into it and keep it charged constantly.

I couldn't tell you if the seller is but I GUARANTEE this is the cheapest and best sounding way to get your mp3s to play over radio. Between me and friends we've used probably 6 or 7 of $50+ transmitters and they don't hold a candle to this one at all. You will not be disappointed.

Get a FM modulator. 95% of all wireless transmitters completely suck. Not terribly difficult to wire it up, accessory power and ground. That's about it.

Hard wire your iPod directly into your receiver. It's cheap & relatively easy depending on your car.

Auxiliary cable is, then cassette adapter.

Yep, they work an absolute treat. It's just standard copper cable, so pop down to an electronics store and you should be able to find a headphone jack end, wire that up to the Aux wire on your headunit, and boom! iPods everywhere.
