Seeing is believe to me. If Braylon can actually hold on to the ball with the Jets then they may have something special. As of now IMO Cotchery is Sanchez's go to guy. It's going to be interesting none the less.

I am loling
Huge threat!
Zero TD's this season.
Dropped a sure fire first down last week on third down and ended up with ZERO catches. While one of our ROOKIES led the NFL in receiving yards....
I am also loling at the Jets guys thinking he can just flip a switch and be good all of a sudden.(っ◕‿◕)っ

I agree he will help the Jets, it gives them another demension for the defense to account for. I was saying the guy was delusional if he thought Braylon is going to "flourish" into a great WR for the Jets.
he is an effective decoy, he will force the opposing D to cover him, but my guess is he will continue to drop balls, and be a head case and a problem for the team he is on. only time will tell, though, until he settles in with the Jets, this is all just speculation. he has (or had) the talent before, it's just a matter of whether he can overcome his ego and his mental blocks, and get back to being a top tier WR.
personally, I hate Braylon now (used to like him, until he turned into an ultra-douche), so I hope he fails miserably.
for the record, I root for the Jets, I like to see them do well.

Whaaa?? What you guys talking about "flourishing under teh bright lightz of teh NY!!". Braylon couldn't handle Cleveland's media. What makes you think he'll be able to handle NY media criticism, which is even more critical??
I guess we'll see though.100% 中国人 / Chinese

You know something is wrong when the QUARTERBACK is HAPPY Braylon is gone. Think he accounted for some of DA's INT's?

Derek Anderson is glad that Braylon is gone

Though he hasn't and likely won't say or do anything publicly to indicate his feelings on the matter, a league source tells us that Browns starting quarterback (for now) Derek Anderson is happy that receiver Braylon Edwards has been traded to the Jets.
We were surprised, given that Anderson likes to throw the deep ball and that Edwards had been the team's top vertical option. Then again, the number of dropped passes over the past year and change likely influenced Anderson's thinking.
The eight catches and 148 yards from rookie Mohamed Massaquoi probably increases Anderson's comfort level regarding Edwards' absence, too.
And so the Browns have in little more than seven months dumped their two top-ten draft picks from 2005 and 2004 -- Edwards and tight end Kellen Winslow.
Two years ago, it appeared that both players would be Cleveland fixtures well into the next decade.GO BROWNS!

This will not end well for Braylon in NY-the media will kill him
Sunday he threw everyone under the bus for his problems-coach, QB other teammates. He has never once owned up to being even part of the problem.
He punched that little guy because of jealosy.
He is promoting the fact that he is from Michigan and that he hates Ohio State, when he plays in Ohio. Then when the fans boo him and he cant figure out why.
The guy has lost all confidence in himself, the big city will crush him.
And I am still not a Browns fan. Another special teams guy and a WR that is no different than what they already have 5 of. The draft picks will be wasted on more try hard guys and special teams guys.

Good trade for both teams. Massaquoi had a huge game in Week 4 too, so the Browns can afford to lose this problem guy.
This could elevate the Jets over the Pats (yes I'm serious) in the division. Their D is solid, their running game is solid, they were lacking at WR though. Cotchery is not a #1 WR. Stuckey at #2 is not solid.
Now if Sanchez can avoid a ton of rookie mistakes, they could far far in the playoffs. Looks like they're just trying to surround Sanchez with enough talent that he won't have to be the leader and make big plays on his own.

Oh well, I didnt read the thread dont care enough.
This should be good for both parties. Edwards gets out, he been crying for 2 years about the fans not liking him cuz he was from Michigan and crap. Browns fans loved the guy and only booed when he dropped 2 passes a game. Maybe he'll get a fresh start in NY, I dnt care.
Browns, well Im not real sure how Stucky(sp?) is and Im sure Mangina will waste both of those draft picks. Just going to be another couple rough years regardless of who plays. Until ownership is gone and Magina is fired and a real coach is in place, nothing is going to get better.Benes

kind of seems like a desperate move for the jets...they couldnt close a deal with the broncos for marshall and talks with crabtree look to be done (hes signing with 49ers) so they took the nex)t best thing, which seems pretty far off (from marshall anyways)
You gotta admit, Lebron does run sh*t in cleveland. He prolly made one phone call and braylon was sent packing.Last edited by 4867_iron; 10-07-2009 at 08:35 AM.

A change of scenery will do wonders for Braylon. He has pro bowl talent that will show in New York.
Mangini is clearly a double agent for the Jets. Even though he couldn't catch, teams still had to respect his talent and ability for the deep pass. There is no one close to the level of potential talent on our current roster.
Mangini is wiping away any talent Cleveland had. Bad job Mangini man.

Wow, look at nfl.com trying to drum up trouble:
"Edwards has been involved in other off-field incidents. In March, he was partying with suspended Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth in Miami the night Stallworth later drove drunk and killed a pedestrian. Edwards was not with Stallworth at the time."
Ya, Braylon was going WILD that night! C'mon now!

So the 49ers filed a tampering charge against the Jets for messing with Crabtree, soon after, all of a sudden, Crabtree wants to talk and signs, and almost immediately the Jets trade for Edwards??? Interesting.
Russell Wilson, the first QB in NFL history to throw a game-winning interception.
