Why isn't Jared Allen in prison for his 3 DUI's? (Serious)
Allen has been arrested/charged for DUI a total of three times. The first was in Pocatello, Idaho on May 11, 2002. He was then arrested twice within five months in Leawood, Kansas on May 11, 2006 and on September 26, 2006. He was sentenced to 48 hours in jail as a result of the latter arrest.
One DUI? Okay.
Two DUI's? Not okay.
Three DUI's? Ridiculous.
Discuss.

I can't ****ing stand him and his ****ing retarded haircut. I lol'd at how the 49ers got a taunting penalty for waving a pass incomplete, and that guy on the packers got a taunting penalty for simply talking smack. Yet Jared Allen does some retarded dance after every tackle and doesn't get flagged. NFL officiating is a joke.

Only thing Jared Allen should be in prison for is raping the Packers o-line.

becuz he would rape every man child and woman in prison

Thank you based Saad
I would like nothing more than to hit Jared Allen in the face with a brick. It would be the last thing I did, but I think it would be worth it. Preferably it would be in the middle of that stupid ****ing sack dance he does, or perhaps when he is trying to hype up the crowd after every single goddamn play.
everything's coming up Milhouse

hamsom brah
Everyone likes Allen, so they're willing to overlook him being let off for 3 DUI's when nobody else would. Funny how everyone calls Kobe the rapist when that wasn't even proven, yet this was and he's not drink-and-drive Jared.
Friendship b/w women:
A woman doesn't come home one night. The next day she tells her husband she slept over at a girlfriend's place. Her husband calls 10 of her best friends. None know anything about it.
Friendship b/w men:
A man doesn't come home one night. The next day he tells his wife he slept over at a friend's place. His wife calls 10 of the husband's best friends. 8 of them confirm he slept over, the other 2 claim he's still there.

I still think Kobe's a rapist, but still.
Three DUI's is ridiculous. In Cali the minimum is 120 days in jail. This guy served two. I know laws vary state to state, but still.

Here's the question - does a DUI usually warrant extended jailtime? I'm under the impression that its the lesser offense to a DWI and usually doesn't...

I love watching the guy play but I agree the guy should be punished just like plax. I mean 3 strikes definitely deserves some time. The thing I never got was when Roger Goddell reduced his suspension from 4 games to 2 games after getting 2 DUIs in a year.

laws are different all over the country unfortunatley. he should be in jail, i`ll never forget last season somebody on detriot took a cheap shot at him, i thought he blew out his knee or something bad, what comes around goes around.

I mean hell I'm a dog lover, and I still think 3 DUI's is worse than Vick running a dogfighting ring.
Putting human lives in Jeopardy and getting caught for it 3 times? If he got CAUGHT 3 times, imagine how many times he drove drunk. Hell, imagine how many times they let him off.

How da hell are ya?
back when favre was in college, he get fcked up, flipped his pickup, almost died, few weeks later he lead southern miss to a comeback win.

In Kansas I believe you get 90 days in jail if you get your 3rd DUI. They include all DUI's from your lifetime. Athletes getting off easily once again.

Meanwhile Plaxico Burress gets 2 years for having a gun and getting caught once. Call me crazy, but possession of a gun is not as bad as driving around in something that is essentially a 2000 pound weapon when the person behind the wheel is drunk.

3 DUIs are nothing, I've seen people in the paper getting their 8th and 9th!

I would say they are pretty much equal in this case... Plax could have accidentally shot someone, Allen could have caused and accident and killed someone. With that said though, famous people should not get lesser penalties just because of their status. Allen may have benefitted from the fact that 1 of the 3 dui's was in a different state, but I'm not really sure if it matters or not.

Plax was caught one time with a deadly weapon.
Allen was caught three times driving one.

Regardless, neither one hurt anyone, there was just potential to. Either one could have killed someone. Which is why I view them as the same. I don't know the specifics of Allen's arrests, but Plax's gun actually went off. I don't think (don't know for sure though) that Allen got into an accident. Neither offense is acceptable though.

Why do you view them as the same?
If you mean one DUI vs one gun charge, then yes, I can agree with that. But it was 3 DUI's, one gun charge.
