is 23 too late to join the military?
been thinking about it for a couple years but always pussed out. i turn 23 this year. i'm halfway done with school. i was thinking about enlisting for 2 years. is it too late?

Just finished 5 years. Basically never to old, as long as you can take orders from some 19 year old, this WILL happen. However your maturity level will help you (assuming you don't still act like some 18yr old highschool grad douche) with gaining rank, and working, and with some respect aspects.

I don't see a problem with joining when you'r in the 30s. You'r still active, and can still move and are probably even wiser.
So no, 23 is young.

I didn't join the Army till I was 29 and went in as an officer. It's never too late to serve.
In Basic training we had a a 35, 38 and a 42 year old. Lots of guys in their late 20's too.

not too late. When I depd in i saw several guys in their mid-high 20's at meps. There is also a 27 year old guy and a few 22-24 year olds at my recruit station.
