Uneven muscle gains/fat loss?
Okay, my first question is, I can tell my left bicep is not as big as my right one. How do you train that bicep and not neglect the other (when trying to make gains) so they are more symmetrical?
Second question, is it possible to lose fat on one half of your body and it be slower on the other half? The left side of my body (my dominate is right side) seems to have more definition and less fat than my right side of my body.. maybe it's cause my left side is weaker but it just seems so weird. Is it possible? Cause I even have my obliques showing more on my left side than on my right side of my body....I mean, everything is more defined on my left side than my right side up and down. Is that weird or have other people had that too??

Your body fat % is even throughout your body. Some people get it on the hips, arm, stomach, w.e. But you cant have uneven fat% on left/right. Your dominant side is just more muscular/regularly used. If you take the time to lift equally they will even out on their own...Example bicep curls w/ 20lbs... the smaller bicep will get larger the larger bicep will stay the same or get smaller. eventually evening out.

My right side looks leaner, except my calf muscle is bigger on my left half. I'm bulking so neither side is currently losing =P

I would imagine most people have discrepancies in size between the left and right sides. My left bicep is about 1/4" smaller than the right one. It's also a little weaker. Do your bicep work unilaterally. Use dumbbells instead of barbells, train one arm at a time. That way you can even out the strength difference and balance up the size to some extent. Chances are you dominant arm isn't a huge amount stronger, so it won't be missing out too much.
I don't know about the fat distribution. Could it be more to do with the shape of the muscles than fat?

My left calf is a whole 2" smaller than my right I was born with it but it's very annoying. The damn thing won't grow!

I have a feeling the shapes of the muscles and the fact that the muscles on one side are more developed definitely has something to do with it. My left arm doesn't look defined at all but I always get a nice shadow under my right bicep...
I haven't measured my calves yet, but a new portion of muscle developed on my left calf that just decided not to show up as well on my right.

I am really glad you put this post on Walk2liv. This has been bothering me for ages. I have exactly the same problem but thought that there was something wrong with me! At least now I know I'm not going crazy. My right side is definitely bigger than my left and my left bicep is far smaller than my right (this bit really shows and bothers me a lot).
I tried dumb bells so I could do more reps on the left but it doesn't work. I think from reading the replies on this post that I am just going to have to try to lift a heavier weight on the left!

yah, my right side generally looks thinner, like you can see the outlines of hip bones better on that side, and i can see that there is less fat on my right side of my stomach!!! so weird, and my left leg has less fat on it than the right!

^ similar thing here, my right side has always been leaner, even the skin folds are different than the left.
