They will learn french and german and its seen as a good quality. But as soon as someone speaks spanish they are looked down upon. Hell French is gay sounding and German is ugly as shiet. Spanish is the best language from europe besides english imo.

its probably because alot of americans are ignorant or racist of the spanish culture, when they think of spanish they think of mexicans and taking our jobs, poor people, illegal aliens etc. sad but true :/

I don't understand the question since you haven't put it in any context. All you've said is that Americans don't want to learn Spanish. On it's own, that is idiotic and purposeless. I'm assuming you have a more specific point, but I'm not going to read any further into it on my own.

first off dick i said most, due to the simple fact that most people here where i live dont want to learn it. 2nd elementary kids can't choose classes, 3rd most Jr high and High schools require children to take at least one semester sometimes even a year. I'm considering taking Spanish courses at my college. I'll have classmates to converse with, and learning something as complex as another language is a great stimulus for the mind. Keep your mind sharp.

Spanish is one of the top languages spoken in the world, it does have its good use. The Latin languages are usually way more strict on the grammar part since we use accents, "silent" H, among others, etc.

i have never seen a person who speaks spanish being looked down upon solely for that reason. if anything, when applying for jobs many people say spanish is a plus so i'm glad i speak it.
maybe in the area where you live, hispanics don't have a good education. therefore, they are looked down upon. but not because they speak spanish
ive also never heard that french and german are seen as high quality.
