Most Sacks Given Up In One NFL Season
David Carr of the Houston Texans was sacked 76 times in 2002.
Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 20 times in four games.

I voted no. Their offensive line is injured right now and has moved guys around because of it. I'd like to think the coaching staff will make the necessary adjustments to protect Aaron Rodgers.

No, they'll get it together. I don't see that record ever coming down off the wall.

Fun unrelated fact.
The head coach of the Texans during that time was.... Dom Capers.

I thought Capers would bring an aggressive blitzing defense to GB. It's been quite the opposite. More of the same **** from last season.

Possibly due to the fact that he has only started a little over one season, Rodgers tends to hold onto the ball too long and take some unnecessary sacks. This combined with a terrible offensive line makes this at least a possibility. If Rodgers gets hurt, he has only Matt Flynn behind him. Flynn has never made an NFL start and is only in his second year in the league.

They switched to 3-4 but don't have 3-4 personnel. Not to mention their linebackers are absolutely atrocious in pass coverage.

I agree. Aaron Kampman belongs as a 4-3 DE. Watching him and AJ Hawk in coverage is difficult.

If you give any NFL starting QB seven seconds to throw they will make you pay. At least with pressure, you can force some immobile or inexperienced QBs into mistakes.

RT Mark Tauscher worked out with the Packers today. This could be help improve the right side of the line dramatically if he returns.

WTF happened to that guy? He used to be rated like a 95 in Madden just a couple years ago.

Torn his ACL with three games left in the 2008 season. It was his contract year.

I'm so glad Rob Johnson doesn't have this record, although I'm sure people can just point out that he got hurt too often to be in games enough to GET sacked that much haha

The Packers face Jared Allen in two weeks so that should inflate the numbers quite a bit.

I cannot question his toughness. After being plagued with injuries his first three years, he has been very durable the last two.

I think Matt Flynn would do fine if he had to start. He's the blueprint for a pro-style QB.
Anyway no I don't think this record will be broken this year.

The beating Rodgers has been taking is starting to wear on him (injured foot). I don't think he practiced this week so it could be only a matter of time before we see Flynn playing.
