    Dumbell shoulder press with palms facing each other...

    instead of palms facings to the front. Is there a difference in the muscles worked? I feel more comfortable when my palms are facing each other.

    Hammer grip is a more natural grip and is easier on the rotator cuffs for most people. Nothing wrong with it at all. You can pronate on your way up as well so your palms face away at the top.
