Well, some have been following my thread in the "Workout Journals" section and know ive been prepping for the past 18 weeks or so.
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...202321&page=41
Its been a long haul, but contest season is upon me. Im excited. Very excited. Started this prep at 189.5 lbs and I was down to a very depleted 165.5 as of this morning. This has been, by far, much more of a grueling prep than my first attempt at the stage, and I like to think its because I have taken my conditioning to a level that is far superior to that of last year's Oak. I hired Tommy Jeffers on at 12 weeks out and this man has been working his magic with me since. Ill have to say, I thought it was gonna be easy b/c he started me with the carbs much higher than I had ever dieted on......and the fat was melting off. Well, my carbs are still relatively high compared to last year, but that doesnt seem to matter in the end because its all just pure hell when theres not much left to burn.
So, ill start here.......the beginning of my carb up for peak week. I'll be hitting three shows on my tour of duty. The first is an INBF show here in my home town of Rochester NY, the second is the NGA Olympus in Buffalo, where ill square off with my arch nemesis (not really) Chris Lawrence (Stayfit2008). The third show will be in Syracuse and thats an OCB show where I will meet "Blazed" on stage and have the priveledge of competing against another former fat guy.
So.......whats the best way to make a very depleted man happy 5 days out from his second competition?
Feed him several hundred grams of carbs over the course of a few days.......
This meal was like heaven.
My son is enjoying his carb up with me as well......although he's more on the sh*tloading protocol.....
Its getting cool......this is called "spontaneous vascularity generation", which is really cool to see after being flat as board for 3 weeks straight. This just seems to magically occur as 80g of carbs hit my system. Weird.
So.....ill leave you with these pics of my ugly mug (I know the close up is a bit over the top). People have been asking for posing trunk shots, but the truth is that I dont have any I want to post just yet. Im flat (or at least I was), im white, washed out, and not that stunning at this point. As I get some tanner on and fill out towards weeks end, ill be updating with some "pre show" footage. Until then, ill be updating with retarded pics of my mouth gaping open.....and maybe some play by plays of how peak week is going.
Thanks for all the support that I have been lent on this forum.....especially through my first prep, so many of you were vital to my success with posing, diet, routine, etc. Thanks again, because I am now a full fledged bbing nut!

Thanks man.
Yea, whiteness sucks, but its nothing a bottle of dream tan cant fix.
As for Sporto's secrets.....he hasnt let me in on them yet.
Yes, I found the xtend to be totally hoakey.....might as well toss that crap right out. But the baby sacrifices.....THAT is the secret.
You got it.
Prejudging is at noon. Shoot me a PM or a text if you go, it'd be nice to have another eye in the audience scoping the competition for me."Who the Son sets free is free indeed....."

Yea, I tried to give him Tommy's carb up protocol, but he's all about the sh*tloading. He keeps telling me Tommy doesnt know what hes talking about and that he's gonna stick with his mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, and marshmallow pies for desert. He also said Father Flex would approve.
Thanks Alberto! Im really looking forward to what the rest of peak week brings......cant wait to hit the stage."Who the Son sets free is free indeed....."

Thanks man. It will be good no doubt. Chris brings a great package to the stage and will be very tough to beat.
Ha! Thanks. My last comp is in November and its in Syracuse where my parents live. So I emailed my mom with a post contest meal request that I found on this forum. This looks AWESEOME! And at 1200 calories per 1/8 pie slice, you cant go wrong. She said it made her feel nauseated. He he he.

That ab pic isn't even a close comparison to how you actually look - which is good because I want it to be a surprise for your competition. Your pics today were IN-SANE - hands down the absolute best you've ever looked by far. Like I was saying before, you can't control what freak might show up with an all around better package, but THIS time it will definitely NOT be a question of conditioning Great work so far - let's nail it the rest of the week!
