Who needs cardio???
My workout this morning included a 10 x 10 set of deadlifts of 250lbs, a 10 x 10 set of push-ups done balancing on 2 exercise balls (last 2 sets with a 45lb plate on my back) and 10 sets of jumping rope for one minute, all together in 40 minutes. Like the title says, "who needs cardio??" lol No seriously, who needs cardio?
I moved 25,000 lbs of weight alone with the deads. Man I feel great!!!!!

yep me too, I was doing a press medley yesterday (DB,BB, Fat Bar, Tricep Bar0 and felt like I was going to keel over any second...I definately need to do more cardio. Although I prefer the term "conditioning" or GPP, makes the whole thing sound less wimpy.

I get where you're coming from. Sometimes it seems like the workout includes the cardio part but I still throw it in there anyways.

My friend, you just did cardio! Cardio isn't about treadmills or the elliptical or the stairmaster. It's about keeping that heart rate up. There are other "fun" ways to do cardio but you gotta go longer than 10 minutes
I need it for cardiovascular reasons and it helps my sulfite induced asthma. It also helps when I have a workout like yours. I don't need it for fat loss

I definitely need cardio. Without it I can't gyrate my hips anywhere near as long.

LOL at this thread, I DO need cardio as well...
However I understand what you meant with this topic,, except the jumping rope part, I do consider that cardio!
I have been giving the 10X10 thing a try myself and although I have not formed a legitimate honest opinion of this particular workout (to early to tell), it does kind of seem like a cardio program more than something one would use to increase strength or busting through a plateau... I can say for certain that my body has been sore from it so far, but I almost think I could losing strength at this moment....

Raising my hand for the need to do cardio. Plus, it gives me time to look at the cardio bunnies while I am on my treadmill. Without looking like a total perve. Just a partial one!!!

Someone put a facepalm pic in here, please.
And I'll also add that I do cardio so I can look better than the unfit, out-of-shape, fat slob staring at me in the mirror. Yes, I am a fitness snob...

I used to do a little carido before...esspecially while in the Army
My concern about doing cardio right now is I am affraid it will hinder weight gain.
I am a hard gainer and wonder if I should still do some cardio work.
Anybody?

You are 42. How much weight you wanting to put on? And remember who's to say you will keep lifting and staying fit? What if you put on 40lbs then quit workingout? Nothing harder than losing weight.
