Most Physical cash was when I baught my current car. $15,000.00 In 100's. Paid for it in full right there. Felt good man, no debt FTMFW

my own money? probably one year i cashed my student loans and tax refund at the same time, about 12K. Had to pay almost all of it to other debts though the same day, boo.

others cash? made a deposit from my bro's businesses when he was on vacation for 2 weeks. close to 50k in cash/checks.

most i potentially could have stolen and made a new identity? a ****load. my dad had an enormous safe installed, had the combo written down on the locksmiths/safe companies business card in his desk, lulz. opened that bitch up when he was at dinner...i was about 14 or 15, not prepared for what was in there. stacks of cash (guessing 250,000), several boxes of graded coins (all ms-69 or ms-70, gold and some silver).

the kicker was the stack of gold bars. i knew they were probably worth alot (back then i was amazed by the cash, though, was unaware). Each one today would go for $400,000 (400 troy oz each, at $1000/oz roughly what gold is at). iirc, there were 10. thats 4 million.

so glad i was too amazed to do anything stupid. love my dad, would have been the end of me. funny, the next time i went to admire the treasure, only the coins were still in there, along with some old artifacts. Guess he had some bills, too, lol.

when i worked at a bank they made me count the vault funds because i was the intern and did the **** nobody wanted to do. i counted probably 600,000 dollars.

Handled bond closings for Investment Banking company for a little over three years. I sent and received wire transactions worth millions of dollars every day. I think the biggest wire I ever sent was a little over $20MM.

EDIT: Very little oversite on these wire transactions. Would have been real easy to forge the presidents name and send a wire to a personal account.

I don't know why I'm still in IL.

My uncle was the CFO of a large garbage company. He said the biggest check he ever had to sign was for $125,000,000. They bought some kind of enormous landfill in Georgia I think.

It was near closing time and my bank (now former bank

) refused to cut a cashier's check 4 my new truck. The dealer wouldn't take a personal check over $20,000, so I withdrew $31,000 in cash (all C-notes) and paid 4 my Silverado & extended warrantee in cash.
