Ms_Mac's Mass Building Journey with some help from Glycobol
Hi every one:
I am waiting for my shipment of Glycobol to arrive - should be here tomorrow so I will start using it as soon as it arrives. I haven't come across any women who have logged this product so let me be the first. LOL!
My goal is to pack on some size and start winning some comps. I will not be competing again for another 2 or 3 years, so plenty of time to play around and see what works and what doesn't. So far I haven't really been able to put on any significant amount of size. I have competed 3 times - my last show which was Nov 2008, I weighed in at 113 lbs - way too small for my 5'7" frame. I did place 2nd in that show though....the girl who beat me had a good 10 lbs on me though. My attempts at bulking in the past have not been very successful..... I would like to get to 140 lbs, while staying lean....highest I ever got was 129-130lbs. So lets see what this Glycobol stuff will do.
My macros for now for each of 6 meals are approximately:
28 grams protein
30 grams carbs
10 grams fat
I will be dosing Glycobol as follows:
1 cap 15-30 min before meal 1
1 cap 15-30 min before post w\o meal which is my last meal of the day.
My typical day looks like this:
8 am - Meal 1
11 am - Meal 2
2 pm - Meal 3
5 pm - Meal 4
7:30 pm - Meal 5
9 pm-10 pm - workout
10:30 or 11 pm - Meal 6
Cardio is usually done in the morning after meal 1 ( walk or run with my 2 yr old son in the jogger) or during my lunch break at work at 4 pm. No more than 30 min or max of 3 hours per week. I have a home gym for weights so I can work out after son goes to bed.
My current w\o split:
Day 1(Sun) - Quads and Calves
Day 2(Mon)- Chest, shoulders, Tris
Day 3(Tues)- off
Day 4(Wed) - Hams and Abs
Day 5(Thurs) - Back, Traps, Bis
Day 6(Fri) - off
Day 7(Sat)- off
Heavy weights in the 4-6 rep range for most.
Other supplements:
Fish Oil - 1 cap with every meal
CLA - 1 cap with meals 1, 3 and 5
NO Shotgun - 30 min pre workout
Extend - 4 scoops during workout
I think that about covers everything. If I am missing anything please let me know.
Let the games begin! LOL!

Tues Ocy 6 2009
Day 2 of glycobal:
I took my first dose -1 cap 30 minutes before breakfast and my second 1 cap dose about 30 min ago. Am now eating pre bed meal.
Today was an off day. So I am in day 2 and haven't noticed any side effects, in fact I have noticed no effects whatsoever. No hunger, no shakiness, nada! But its only day 2, so we'll wait it out and see what happens. Thinking tomorrow I may try the full 2 cap dosage. Any thoughts?

Fri Oct 9 2009
So I weighed in this morning.....120lbs. So thats DOWN 2 lbs since Monday. Hmmmmmmmmmmm........I think I'll keep cals\macros the same for now and see what happens next week. If another drop, I'll increase carbs. Right now I at around 180-200 grams of carbs. I am hoping to eventually be around 300 or so grams. So I think I am on the right track for now.
Today will be a cardio day, so I'll report back later.
Mornin' All!

Sat Oct 10 2009
Just finished my 30 min of cardio - a fast walk on the good ole' manual treadmill! Me thinks I'm gonna ask Santa for a better one!
Day 6 and still feeling good - no side effects yet. I think I may start experimenting with the times I take this. Currently doing 2 caps 30 min before breakfast and 2 caps post workout- 30 min before meal. I am going to try this pre workout and see if that makes any difference.

Mon Oct 12 2009
Day 8 - again not much seems to be happening other than a weight loss of 2 lbs in the first few days. I dosed a bit differently today. Took my first dose of 2 caps 30 min before supper tonight as this was a cheat meal and the highest carb meal of the day: 2 scoops mashed potatoes, lotsa turkey, peas and carrots, gravy and the kicker - 1 big ass piece of apple pie with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream! YUMMY! This was also my pre w\o meal. I had an awesome workout though - felt super strong! 2nd dose was 30 min before post w\o meal.
Chest, Shoulders, Tris:
Flat Bench Press
4*8 - 40lbs - could not get the 45's again tonight.
Incline Bench Press
2*7,6 - 40lbs
2*8 - 35lbs
Incline Fly
2*6 - 35lbs
1*8 - 30lbs
Military Shoulder Press
3*8 - 45
Side Lateral
3*6,4,4 - 20lbs
Dips
3*6
I did 20 min of cardio post w\o on the treadmill.
Thats it for tonight!

Have you tried to change the dosing up?
Myself and others like to do a 1/1/1/1 dosing, getting at least 30-40 carbs at each dose.

I have seen that some of you do that, but why? Is there any benefit to doing a 1\1\1\1 schedule as opposed to 2\2? Just wondering what the logic behind this is.

I'm doing the 1/1/1/1. I figure its a better way since it allows the glycobol to go to work onmore than just 2 meals.

Makes sense I guess. So which meals do you go with? I'm guessing 1st meal of the day,pre and post and one other?
Today was a rest day for me....if you can call running after a 2 yr old rest. LOL! I am sure that counts for some cardio.

I just go with whatever my 3 highest carb meals are, and then I take one pre-bed, for the theoretical GH boost.

I dont. I find it more beneficial to dose it with carbs, personally.

Thanks guys, for the info. For most of this week I did a 1\1\2 split - 1 before meal 1, 1 before meal 4 and 2 post workout meal 6.
So here are my stats as of this morning - using a 3 point caliper pinch:
Weight - 119.2 lbs - down 0.8lbs from last week.
Tri pinch - 5mm
Ab pinch - 4mm
Quad pinch - 4mm
Overall using this method - 7.74%
My last reading was done just before I left for the Olympia - I had been cutting up to then. Here they are from Sept 18:
Weight - 117.2 lbs
Tri pinch - 5mm
Ab pinch- 4mm
Quad pinch - 6mm
Overall - 8.53%.
So in 4 weeks a net gain of 2lbs and body fat down just slightly. Good news!
Off to do some cardio. TGIF,everyone!

5k, eh? Did you do that out on the road or a treadmill? Got my race in less than two weeks, curious to see how I'll do.
Have you had an GI issues with glycobol?
