Best competition yet!
2009 provincial champion ships. got 9 out of 9 lifts, squatted 430 raw no problems probably had a 440 (pounds) benched 293 raw, and deadlifted 578 raw. Was up against my brother and a team mate who both use gear and have 3-4 years on me. i came out with a 3rd place but im just happy to kill my old pb's.
The venue was very nice hosted in a travelodge hotel, had a wave pool, hot tub and a water slide so i was doing that all night before the comp, went back had a stiff rum n coke and watched a movie until about 12 00, woke up at 6 30 weighed in way under what i needed to be and it went from there. Now im ready to buy some gear, i have 6 months until nationals!

Congratulations. All of your numbers look good, but the 578 deadlift really made me think, "****, son!" Damn good deadlift!

Awesome job man! Maybe its just me though I wouldn't want to go 9/9..... I'd always feel like I left something in the tank. I know I'm the only person on earth who doesn't want to hit all their lifts

no that actually makes sense.
the thing is, what if your on your 3rd you put only a tiny bit too much on and then you miss, and you would be pissed cuz maybe you could have done just a few pounds less. but ya i had a bit more in my deadlift, probably another 20 pounds in my squat and maybe like 3 pounds in my bench lol
