am i lazy? or efficient?:)
i poured my lady friend a cup of not so hot coffee, and put it in the microwave. she said "a minute and a half". so i pushed 1 3 3.
and she says i'm a lazy sack. i figured my finger was already on the 3, so why move all the way down to the zero.
what say you. (i'm bored and the giants are over.)

I totally agree with you. Most things I microwave are 3:33 because they should be 3 minutes.
I was training a new guy at work one morning and I threw a mc muffin type thing in the microwave and closed the door to the back room and went back to the training. It thought i pushed 333.
I realized that i had forgotten about it and after about 1 hour i went into the backroom and the place was fully filled with smoke. The microwave was partially melted and ruined. Seems i pushed 33:33, huh, 1 extra 3. Who knew.
The place smelled like smoke for about a month after that.

At least she didn't say "a minute and a half; just like in the bedroom.". Anyhow........
Neither lazy nor efficient. You burned crucial calories on a rest day. Should have hit nine zero.

Efficient! When I put something in for a minute I always push "59".
One less digit, + save a second.

Well, if you were REALLY efficient you would have pressed 90.

On our nuker I just have to press the 1 and it automatically goes for a full minute.
Then there is the handy dandy 'add 30 seconds' button.
Yeah...

but someone said 'about' and would put 111. Just saying 66 is close and less digits all on the same pad...

Well, efficiency in the kitchen leaves more time for more important tasks.
It is all a matter of perspective.

Wow. An infraction like that would have earned me a lash from the crop.

Actually, 88 would have been the closest and least number pushing/finger moving.
Then again, I just have to hit my Start button 3 times and it does 30 seconds per push. Starts and cooks, with 3 button pushes. Default on many Micro's.

Wow, I yam behind the times. I have a microwave from 1985 that has a big ol' rotary dial. Makes a nice loud *DIINNGG* when it finishes.
