Getting back into it after a lay off..

    Background..

So I had quite a large 4 month streak where, I had the diet down to a t... the training spot on and recovery.. I was a machine, going through the motions with no trouble.. I had a 4 week lay off.. triggered by nothing! after gaining a fair bit back Im having a very hard time getting back into it..

I know what needs to be done and I know I can do it.. I just keep getting depressed looking at it thinking "this is going to take me 2 months to get back to where i was" this sort of thinking is really ruining me as im taking the quick fake reward (food) over the proper reward (food, training and patience) Im sure a lot have been in this situation..

    Stories/ tips anyone?

    Lightbulb Hey man

In your profile.... you said you were heavy most of your life....I here been there....Alot of times we use food as an reward in reality you need to rethink what food is for...food in itself shouldn't be an reward or be used for relieve boredom....use it wisely and as a tool to get your body to its next step.....that means sitting down and planning out a diet that will enable you to be proud of your goals and body.....The excerise...you need to see it as a pleasure...an enjoyment....seein it as labor is a recipe for future disaster....you gettin back into it shows your ready to make the commitment needed to achieve your goals....Dont look back at your mistakes of the past....the past is just that ...the past......move forward...your doing this for you.....cause you deserve it man......Self
Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live the world they're been given than to explore the power they have to change it...Impossible is not a fact...It's an opinion...Impossible is not declaration...It's a dare...Impossible is potential...Impossible is temporary...Impossible is nothing...

Ya man I've been there I'm only 17 but I was working out a lot when i was 14-15 then i started getting into all the wrong **** drinkin and druggin. I went from being 15yo 145lbs at five three. now im 17 and 5'7 143 just started lifting again a month ago so im getting back into it sucks knowing where I could have been and that I weighed more two years ago and four inches shorter. I just try not to dwell on it think of the future not how much better you could have been but how much better your going to be. It's not how many times you fall but its how many times you get back up thats what I think everyday because I've fell so many times but I keep getting back up and I know this time its going to be diffirent.
