    Thanks again guys for the replies. I've gone through the thread mutliple times, and each time I've seen 'an answer' that I may not be searching for at the time, but when it is something I try and go back and fish for can never seem to relocate.
    Intra workout supplementation shouldn't interfere with ArA's effects. Exercise will cause a rise in epinephrine and this will inhibit insulin secretion.

    You can dose PA with ArA. The reason a lot of people would prefer Soy Lecithin over PA alone is Soy Lecithin acts as an emulsifying agent for the ArA, plus comes with a host of other benefits (the phospholipids in general).

    Like I said in a few other threads I'm 2 weeks in and haven't seen anything major yet, I'll give it more time.
    Seems it hit or miss with folks.

    I buy 3 bottles for a 50 day run (6 pills pre on workout days only)

    The first go around I noticed significant growth in my chest, shoulders, thighs (this was after the 50 days. It was about a 1/2" increase). After 3 weeks roughly that I started noticing a difference. This time I added GG2 to my stack and still take WFR (has some LCLT). As of recent, I changed my BCAA's to BPI Best BCAA and it has a CLA complex in it. (just to give you an idea of what else I'm taking.) Right now Im running certain lifts like this:

    Incline dumbell press: 70 x 12, 80 x 12, 90 x 10, 100 x 8, 110 x 6 (110 is up from me only getting 90 x 5)
    My squat (as of yesterday): 95 x 15 (warmup set), 135 x 12, 185 x 10, 225 x 8, 245 x 6 (245 is the highest I've been ever since I always avoided squats)
    Leg Press: 360 x 12, 450 x 12, 540 x 12, 630 x 10, 720 x 10
    Shoulder Press (machine): 180 x 12, 230 x 12, 270 x 10, 320 x 8

    This are just some of what I saw major improvements in this go around. I'm on my last bottle so this run will be over soon. I also was running a fairly clean diet. This week has been off the wagon though, but didn't see any drop in my workouts....

    So you didn't notice a kick in period until around the 3 week mark?
    Did you notice the DOMS/pumps/fullness before the 3 week mark?

    Has anyone had any issues with back acne while taking ARA? I just started taking X-gels and have taken XFA as well. I have never had an issue with back acne; however ARA makes me break out. If so, what can I do to keep it at bay while using ARA?

    A small amount of users seem to see a slight increase in acne.

    For those predisposed to this side effect, I would simply advise washing your affected skin area 2-3 times a day w your preferred skin wash.

    Background
    After ingestion, fatty acids like arachidonic acid are emulsifed and taken up into enterocytes where they are esterfied on a glycerol backbone to form a triglyceride. Next, the triglycerides and cholesterol esters are bound together to form a chylomicron. This entity can now diffuse into the lymphatics and then into the blood. Once in the blood, the chylomicrons are free to interact with various tissue receptors depending on energy homeostasis.     The point being...
    In which tissue the fatty acids are deposited is a function of the energetic state of the organism overall. In a post-prandial, high fed, state, the dominant hormone is insulin. Similarly, the only isoform of LPL that is active with insulin is located on adipocytes. It should be obvious now that consuming fats when eating will direct them to adipose. This isn't necessarily a bad thing in the context of fish oil, as adipose is now recognized as a great contributer to endogenous hormone production like the prostanoids.

    But...
    In the context of Arachidonic Acid, the final destination should be skeletal muscle. Luckily, there is an energetic state which favors fatty acid delievery to this tissue: Exercise (or acute starvation) [1]. In an exercise-induced environment, LPL on skeletal muscle becomes active which serves as an adjunct to glycolysis for the TCA cycle via beta-oxidation. Similarly, the enzyme DGAT also becomes active in skeletal muscle which functions to store excess fatty acids as triglycerides. Since both of these enzymes are heavily active during exercise, it is clear that an excess of fatty acids are being removed from blood plasma into skeletal muscle as a reservoir (this also serves to decrease insulin insensitivity [2]).

    Based on these observations
    To maximize ArA supplemention it is advisable to supplement 30-40 minutes prior to exercise in order to ensure plasma delievery of ArA and also to reduce exercises effects on gastric motility.

    Why would arachidonic acid be the preferable fatty acid before a workout versus another fatty acid? ArA is involved in the production of prostaglandins, which are pro-inflammatory molecules. Why would potentially increasing inflammation benefit exercise? Wouldn't oleic acid be a more preferable substrate for skeletal muscle during exercise? The article that I can access doesn't address ArA supplementation. During exercise, epinephrine and norandrenaline mobilize fatty acids stored in adipocytes as triglycerides for use by the skeletal muscles. It would appear that supplementation of any fatty acid before exercise would work to reduce this process and thus inhibit fat loss.
