wow..... overtraining biceps in one workout with 4 exercises?? You could do that 2-3 times a week and you probably wont feel the symptoms of overtraing. These types of threads amaze me.

I'm not a big advocate of direct arm training anyways and I think that's way too much. If you feel your biceps are weak, try reverse grips on back movements, such as pulldown, barbell rows, etc. This will work the biceps and put them under a load. Maybe just some barbell or db curls mixed in with those.

Unless your working out for 6 hours straight, you're NOT going to over train a muscle, read stickies please.

sounds like u r self-assessing which is good. keep doing this. if you are not getting the results u want after trying something consistently for a fair amount of time rethink why ur not getting what u want and try something else. that something else may not always be to your training though as your diet, sleep patterns, stress, etc. can be other areas that influence your gains. you said u felt ur arms weren't getting bigger so u adjusted, good, now ride this out for a lil bit (don't forget to pay attention to your diet) and decide if it's going well for you or not, then reevaluate and so on. you're also young so i suspect you may have some huge gains headed your way as you finish puberty. get psyched for those. good luck and train hard.

i just got my copy of muscle and fitness mag and in it there was a little side note from a big trainer, somethin Gunner or other, and he said that biceps are one of the most overtrained muscles in the gym and that instead of doin 4 or 5 exercises, stick with 2 or 3 to get the best results.

I do not beive in over-training in a single workout. As long as the muscle gets enough time for recovery and growth before you train it again.
Traing the same muscle before it has recovered though, thats what i call over-training. For example biceps 3x per week would most likely be over-training. But doing 100 sets in a single workout for biceps IMO thats perfectly fine as long as you dont train the biceps again untill they are fully recovered.
If anything you are just under-eating and under-sleeping.
Watch these videos where Big Fuzzy talks about "over-training"
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showpo...11&postcount=1
CNS (Central Nervous System) over-training is another story all together, but seriously dont worry about it you will not experience that. Just keep training hard and forget over-trainnig. If you are using a bodybuilding split you will be 100% fine.
So no you are not over-training.
